30 September 2008 - 10:47 AMHey all! Silent Legion and the Dead Muppets are putting on our 2nd collaborative mini-scenario this year in Sedalia on October 18th. For those that didn't attend last time we had about 45 players and everyone had a blast! Please use the game locator for directions, but here is the storyline.....
Libya has been working on becoming a nuclear power in the Middle East for several decades. With recent help from Pakistans they have attained several pounds of weapons grade plutonium. The only piece still needed before the nuclear arsenal is operational are the guidance chips. The complicated pieces of technology has thus far eluded their top scientists.
In a stroke of luck for Libya several US Tomahawk missiles have malfunctioned and landed on their coastline. The Lybian Army has been tasked with retrieving any and all scraps from these missiles in hopes of finding a guidance chip intact. Confident in his Army and scientists, Muammar Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi has promised his people a first and final strike on Israel to show the world the capabilities of Libya.
In an attepted airstrike on a western province of Iraq from the Mediterranian Sea a battery of Tomahawk missile has gone off course and landed in Libya. Privo-Tech, US manufacturer of these missiles, is admitting that the servos used to operate the missiles fins were indeed faulty causing the battery to go off course. Intel reports that up to seven of these missiles failed to detonate. In an attempt to avoid an international incident the US has decided to send in a crack team of special forces to retrieve the surviving missiles and use the remaining explosives to destroy a strategic target just outside the coastal town of Tubruq before exiting the country undetected.
Retrieve 2 funtional guidance chips in order to launch 1 missile and have a ready backup.
Main mission- Retrieve ALL un-detonated missiles.
Secondary mission- Retrieve at least 4 missiles in order to detonate the bridge outside of Tubruq.
Libyan, 25 points for launch of missile.
US, 25 points for destruction of bridge.
10 points per missile held at end of game (not used for missions).
5 points for every medic card filled out and returned.
5 points for every engineers card filled out and returned.
Regens every 15 minutes on the hour.
1 medic and 1 engineer per 10 players on team.
Medic can heal everything other than a head shot, player cannot move once hit until healed.
Weapons will be un-functional if hit. Engineer can repair a weapon if hit.
1-scientist for Libya, the only one that can prep and launch the missile.
1-demo specialist for US, the only one that can prep and destroy the bridge.
You can give me a shout if you have any questions! Jerry
15 March 2008 - 08:06 AMAlright guys it's about that time to start thinking about the game! For those that don't know the Silent Legion is hosting it's 2nd annual night scenario to benefit the VFW post 6461. For full details go to KHE SAHN Those that played last year had a blast (I was pretty jealous I couldn't play in such a cool game!). If anyone that attended last year wants to tell everyone what it's like feel free! Oh yeah, we're making some more field improvements this year to make things a little more interesting! We also have prizes provided again this year by OPS GEAR and (new) the Underground Mod Shop who we would like to thank very much for there support of our cause!
All money made goes to straight to the VFW without any "filtering" through fields or businesses! Here's us handing over the check last year.......$1,327.25
Let's see if we can have as much fun and double that check this year!!!!
21 December 2007 - 01:12 PMAre there any players from or around the Grays Harbor area of WA? I grew up in Hoquiam and am coming back this summer for 3 weeks. I'm bringing all my gear (except my HPA tanks, as I figure it would be to hard to find a place to fill them) and would like to get some good woods games in..... Are there any groups that play true woodsball around there? Thanks in advance for the help!
