  1. Anyone else forget that its 3-4 years in the future?

    10 June 2012 - 08:51 AM

What I mean is, I used to be all over this site When I was first starting to play paintball in high school. I got so much good information and it really helped better my game play. I went to college for a year, then decided I needed a way to pay for it, so I joined the military. Here I am almost 4 years in the service and I visit this site and read posts, then I go to hit that reply button and realize, the post I am reading is from 2008...2007...etc. :(. Just wondering if I am not the only one :).

I guess what I am saying is that deploying really puts you in a time warp...I have been assigned to my ship ( I am US Navy) for about 2.5 years now. Of that, I did a 3 month cruise, 6.5 month cruise, 1.5 month, and a 5.75 month cruise, not to include the various 1-3 week "workups" in between all of that. So for me I go out there and its almost like I forget that time still moves forward back home. I guess its that Astra-naught effect. I know you service guys know what I am talking about. Especially the Army/marines that do 1-1.5+ year deployments.

SO! what's new with paintball huh? I just went and played yesterday out in Escondido, CA. My first game since deployment. I dusted off my A-5 and kicked some butt.

I have no idea why I am writing this, oh yeah, because I am stuck on duty and I'm bored :).

    Insert closing statement here... >_<
  2. Need help rebuilding a gun

    25 May 2012 - 07:37 PM

Ok here's the background. A friend of mine bought a few guns of craigslist, and one was an Armortech WG-65. He was going to throw it away, but i said NO!!!! so i have it now! My only problem is, it is missing the end cap for the "lower" bolt. I will include pictures.

I was hoping to use my special ops friends' knowledge to help me get this marker up and running. I bought a few pipe pieces from Home Depot to try and rig my own end cap. Well i will get pics as this project goes along.

Here is what i have found out so far:
-Armortech is out of business, and replacement parts are near impossible to find
-i heard this is a spyder "clone" perhaps a spyder piece will work for this gun?
-Armortech is now known as Ariakon? do they have parts is need?
-The threading is a 1/2" size for the lower bolt, only problem is building something to support the spring and adjust velocity!
-some guy on another forum said this: You should be able to get these parts from a Miltec dealer. The Miltecs/Armotechs/Warsensors are basically all the same guns, just different names.

Any help with this is much appreciated. If anyone has rebuilt one of these, let me know!

Here are some pics: the red box is what i am missing.
  3. Alright snipers!

    17 October 2011 - 07:52 AM

i have my old ghillie out, and im adding more material! Going to search for SNIPER the movie on netflix and get into the spirit!

I have a 100+ man scenario coming up, and lots of work ahead of me. I have no idea why im starting this thread, other than to get my fellow snipers chatting and to help revive this board! :D

    Newly formed, US NAVY team.

    heres a highlight reel.

Let me know what you think!

    07 August 2011 - 05:25 PM

Ok, short notice, BUT, I am going to post this.

My team (currently figuring out a name) will be playing Saturday the 13th up in Lakeside. We will be using this day as our pre-scenario play for Decay of Nations. If you are in the area, and want to get the dust off your gear before the big game, now is a good time to do it! If my entire team shows up, we will have about 11-12 people. We need some peeps to shoot at :).

This is a great opportunity to figure out those lat minute kinks you may be having before the big game. We are less than 3 weeks out people! Put those remote controls down and lets get some paint flying!

Call out if you might be there!

    See you out there SoCal!

P.S. I will post this in the game locator.
