    BT Big Game 2010
    Saturday, August 21, 2010

This event will take place at our Chesapeake City location.

Welcome to the largest paintball battle on Earth, the 2010 BT Big Game. This event is the single biggest multi-national paintball game in the World! On one day, 8/21/10, players around the world will take part in a global paintball battle. Though the game will be taking place in different locations around the world, participants will be globally united in one game as players are separated into the Red and Blue teams. So, players in France will be rooting for their teammates in Mexico as the game progresses across the globe. At BTpaintball.com, players will be able to watch live scoring for each location, track missions and view images from battlefields from all over the world. Some of this year’s participating countries include:

    United States
    France
    United Kingdom
    Estonia
    Portugal
    South Africa
    Dominican Republic
    Brazil
    Mexico
    Canada
    Poland
    Aruba
    Malaysia
    Bulgaria

The BT Big Game event pits the Blue Battalion against the Red Rangers for world domination. Here is the storyline: The Blue Battalion launched a preliminary operation Tuesday in support of a planned U.N. takeover of the world’s monetary system. An all out offensive is expected to have civilians lay down their arms and comply until all of the U.N.’s changes are in place. Meanwhile, militants known as the Red Rangers, who are opposed to most of the U.N.’s solutions, are growing in numbers and pledge a fight for any kind of change. No casualties are reported yet, but large plumes of smoke could be seen in many of the largest cities, and fear is pervasive.

People across the globe are anxious and concerned. and many are preparing for the worst. The battle begins 8/21/10.

Ten or more missions will be run throughout the day, including:

    Ammo Dump raid
    Gold shipment ambush and retrieval
    Demolition missions
    Fuel securement
    Armor battles (with LAVs)
    Food Stores Looting
    Plutonium shipment hijacking
    Seizing Property
    Kidnapping VIPs
    Aerial Recon
Wow! What's not to like about those?

    Operation Ocean Tiger V
    Sunday May 2, 2010

This will be OA's 45th scenario game

More than $2,000 in total prizes will be distributed throughout the day, starting at the beginning of the safety briefing.

Utilizing the format that has made their scenarios so successful, they have added even more missions and props, including tanks, pyrotechnics, smoke, artillery, multiple missions and props, along with Generals, Commanders, Engineers, and Medics.

    The Scenario

Welcome to Operation: Ocean Tiger V, OA's fifth re-enactment of the planned German invasion of Britain. Last year at OOT IV more than 400 players fought in one of the greatest “what if” battles of history and they expect a bigger turn out this year.

For the first hour of the game, the German side must establish a beachhead and until they do this, the Germans will be without the benefit of a Command Post. After the invasion, they will have the opportunity to select one from areas they control on the field. Do you have what it takes to “storm the beach” and establish a foothold? Maybe you want to defend the British homeland and repel the German invasion. Either way, you will have a great time as you relive history, not just read about it!

    The Storyline

In the early morning hours of September 15, 1940, Prime Minister Winston Churchill is hastily awakened. The month before, the German Luftwaffe (Air Force) began its expected air assault against Great Britain when Churchill refused to negotiate with Germany’s Führer (Leader) Adolf Hitler after England’s ally France surrendered. In the Cabinet War Rooms near Parliament, Churchill is brought into the map room to receive the much anticipated - albeit feared – news: The German Army had begun a seaborne assault against the British coastline with support from the Luftwaffe and paratrooper forces. The brunt of this seaborne assault was directed towards the British coastline between Dover and Bexhill. Churchill immediately authorized the implementation of the defense plans utilizing I Corps (Lieutenant-General M. G. H. Barker) and II Corps (Lieutenant-General Alan Brooke).

As the initial wave of German troops approached the British coast on the ships and landing barges of the Kriegsmarine (Navy), Field Marshal Gerd von Rundstedt could not help but wonder if the soldiers under his command were up to the daunting tasks outlined in Führer Directive 16 – Operation Sealion. The German OKH (Army HQ) ordered its troops to assault the shoreline utilizing a wide array of vessels that had been hastily assembled. Rundstedt's primary fear was that the Luftwaffe could not control the airspace overhead. Without air superiority, his troops would be under attack from the front and above. It would also limit re-supply and assistance from paratroop forces. As the first boats approached the coastline in the darkness, the British spotlights illuminated them and tracer rounds crossed the beach. The decision point had arrived. Would Germany conquer the last remaining free nation in Europe?

    Stalingrad IV
    Sunday January 31, 2010

For the fourth straight year, Outdoor Adventures Scenario Productions presents its popular winter event, a recreation of one of the most famous battles of World War II. Last year more than 400 players attended! Using their extremely successful and simplified format, there will be tanks, pyrotechnics, smoke, artillery, paint grenades, multiple missions and props, along with Generals, Commanders, Engineers, and Medics.

This is a great event for everyone from beginners to experienced scenario players.

More than $2,000 in total prizes will be drawn and awarded all day long, starting at the beginning of the safety briefing.

    Battle Facts

The Battle of Stalingrad was a major turning point of World War II and is considered one of the bloodiest battles in history, with an estimated two million casualties in 199 days.

On June 22, 1941, Germany invaded the Soviet Union and quickly advanced deep into Soviet territory. After suffering defeat and huge losses through the summer and fall, Soviet forces counter-attacked in December from their last-ditch lines around Moscow. The German Army, ill prepared for winter and short on supplies, was driven back, but by spring 1942 the Germans had stabilized their front and prepared to attack in a different direction. Their new target – the city of Stalingrad!

The Battle of Stalingrad began with a heavy bombing of the city by aircraft of the German Luftwaffe. Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin prevented the women and children of Stalingrad from leaving their city and forced them to assist with building defenses, using civilians as human shields against enemy bombardment. The city and the surrounding countryside quickly fell into ruins as the German forces pressed forward with artillery, armor and infantry.

The Soviet defenders held, but just barely. The German attackers were bled white in their efforts to seize most of the city. Then in November a major Soviet winter counter-offensive broke through both flanks and surrounded the German 6th Army. By February 1943 the Germans were forced to surrender and the Soviet Red Army launched a relentless series of attacks that only ended when it captured Berlin in 1945.

Will the Soviet forces of Generals Zhukov and Chuikov prevail? Can the Soviet counter-attack turn the tide of battle? Will German Field Marshal Paulus drive the Red Army from Stalin's city? It is time for you to join the fight! Pick a side and maybe change history. Every soldier counts in this epic battle!

    Battle of the Bulge IV
    Sunday December 13, 2009

    Battle Facts

-The coldest, snowiest weather in memory in the Ardennes Forest on the German/Belgium border.
-Over a million men, 500,000 Germans, 600,000 Americans (more than fought at Gettysburg ) and 55,000 British.
-3 German armies, 10 corps, the equivalent of 29 divisions.
-3 American armies, 6 corps, the equivalent of 31 divisions.
-The equivalent of 3 British divisions as well as contingents of Belgian, Canadian and French troops.
-100,000 German casualties, killed, wounded or captured.
-81,000 American casualties, including 23,554 captured and 19,000 killed.
    -1,400 British casualties 200 killed.
-800 tanks lost on each side, 1,000 German aircraft.
-The Malmedy Massacre, where 86 American soldiers were murdered, was the worst atrocity committed against American troops during the course of the war in Europe .
-In its entirety, the “Battle of the Bulge,” was the worst battle - in terms of losses - to the American Forces in WWII.

    Short History

On a wintry mid-December day in 1944, three powerful German armies plunged into the semi-mountainous, heavily forested Ardennes region of eastern Belgium and northern Luxembourg . Their goal was to reach the sea, trap four allied armies, and impel a negotiated peace on the Western front.

Thinking the Ardennes was the least likely spot for a German offensive, American Staff Commanders chose to keep the line thin, so that the manpower might concentrate on offensives north and south of the Ardennes . They were wrong in their assessment. The American line was thinly held by three divisions and a part of a fourth, while the fifth was making a local attack and a sixth was in reserve. Division sectors were more than double the width of normal, defensive fronts.

Even though the German Offensive achieved total surprise, nowhere did the American troops give ground without a fight. Within three days, the determined American stand and the arrival of powerful reinforcements insured that the ambitious German goal was far beyond reach.

In snow and sub-freezing temperatures the Germans fell short of their interim objective - that of reaching the sprawling Meuse River on the fringe of the Ardennes . All the Germans accomplished was to create a Bulge in the American line. In the process they expended irreplaceable men, tanks and material. Four weeks later, after grim fighting, with heavy losses on both the American and German sides, the Bulge ceased to exist.

On Sunday, December 13th you can re-fight the Battle of the Bulge at OA. Starting with an opening spectacle of pyrotechnics that precedes the Siege of Bastogne (see below), this day should be non-stop action from beginning to end.

Pyrotechnics will be used to start this game!

The game will start with The Siege of Bastogne:

    Mission Duration: 30 minutes

    Point Value: 500 points

RED Start: The German side (RED) must start ON or BEYOND the circle marked on the Event Map (75 meter radius from Bastogne).

BLUE Start: The Allies side (BLUE) will start with approximately 20% of their troops in Bastogne. The remaining troops (Patton's relief force) must start within 10 feet of the field boundary between Andenne and Sedan . Please refer to the Event Map. The relief column may be delayed by weather!

Tank Start: The Red Armor will start at the town of Marvie. The Blue Armor will start at Blue HQ.

Mission Objective: The team who has control of Bastogne at the end of 30 minutes shall be awarded the mission points. To gain control of Bastogne , the Germans must respectfully lower the flag of the 101st Airborne in the Castle. If Bastogne is taken, the Americans can "re-gain" control by raising the flag. The flag itself may NOT be removed from the area. The position of the flag at the 30 minute mark will determine the victor!!!

Safety: We are concerned for our players trying to exit the Castle (Bastogne) with over 200 players shooting at it. Because of this, a special exit procedure will be used. On the North side (Route 50) of the Castle there are two doors. One of these doors will be designated as "Exit" and be used by eliminated players leaving the building. There will be signage and netting to denote this exit doorway. If a player shoots another player using this exit, a penalty WILL be assessed and the bodies disposed of accordingly.

Note: Armor and Anti-Armor assets may not be immediately available at "game on". Plan accordingly.

Ten or more additional missions will be run throughout the day, including:

    1. Artillery bombardment
    2. Downed paratrooper rescue (from hanging harness)
    3. Demolition
    4. Paratrooper insertion (Operation Stosser)
    5. Armor battles and much, much more.

    The Storyline

Russian Spetsnaz General Boris Baddenuff dreams of the glory days of the Soviet Empire. With America's military forces stretched from the Near East to Asia to South America, Baddenuff decides the time is ripe to strike his country's old enemy and regain Russia's position as the other dominant superpower on the planet! Baddenuff instructs his beautiful secret agent Nastasha to assemble a group of rogue mercenaries and old Soviet castoffs in his home province of Pacmanistan.

What kind of attack are these fiends planning?

Could the terror of nuclear devastation again grip the world?

Will the world’s supply of vodka be threatened?

What evil allies are they obtaining to help them with this nefarious plot?

    Is there hope?

Word of the impending strike has been leaked to a US agent inside Russia, and American President Sturm has called upon the only men that have successfully faced Boris and Nastasha in the past: G. "Rocky" Hardrocks, and Ben "Bull" Wrinkle, two of the best leaders in America's Fast Action Response Team. Can "Rocky" and "Bull" Wrinkle stop Boris and Nastasha again? Will it be necessary to call on Doodley Danright and his girlfriend (name withheld to protect the innocent)? Can we pull a rabbit out of a hat? America's future, indeed the fate of the entire world, is at stake. Yeah, that's right, the fate of the whole world is at stake! So whadda ya waitin' for?
