26 August 2008 - 07:58 AMHPR output pressure, valve/hammer spring set up, and even how close the timing is set can have an effect. That makes up the bulk of the noise. Some are just quieter than others, it eludes me from time to time.

02 June 2008 - 08:21 AMI think a Karni has a nice, but sort of larger body. The ICS is a JUNK IMO, but if you were to run it off an MQ valve all those problems would be fixed. A kid at our field let me shoot his SR, it was pretty cool. I shot and sounded a lot like a Karni, and seemed pretty loud. Now being a cocker I'm sure a lot of that was his tuning. The electronics seemed pretty cool, I liked the screen; it does look like an A1 but I didn't get to use it.
I have a midblock body, they're pretty cool. The ram arm is a bit figetty because it's so short and the bend doesn't like that, but it's not that hard to fix. All in all I'd say get the SR if you can, they're pretty nice. That is if you're buying new, otherwise I'd say find a nice E-cocker used on ebay and learn as you go.
