Topics I've Started
14 December 2007 - 03:43 PMI have made my own stock class harnesses for free at home. They will hold 10 rnd tubes and 12 grams, depending on where you wear them. First off you need a set of garters. just in case you dont know what that is, they are designed to keep you shirt tucked in by attaching the bottom of your shirt to the top of your socks, using elastic bands. These are very easy to find, military surplus, uniform stores ect. I used the vanguard brand, and they worked fine.
First thing you need to do is estimate a length of the garter to simply sew together to make a loop that will securely hold the 12 grams or tubes in place without them falling out or banging together, potnentially giving away your position.
Remember not to make the loops very far apart because when you wear this, its going to strech out.
I found that the easiest way to make loops stay in place was by using a staple gun to hold the pieces together and bending the staples in to stay in place. Sewing works as well, but is much more time consuming.
Make as many loops as you can, without making the garter to short to strap around your leg/wrist ect.
I also used elastic straps from old knee pads to make wrist harnesses. They are comfortable and dont move around too much.
This takes a small amount of creativity, and very little skill to do. Considering that most stock class harnesses cost upwards of 25$, this is a very cheap alternative. Garters can cost 3-5 dollars and the staple gun might be 15 bucks or better, but you can make as many harnesses as you need. It takes me about 15 minutes to put together a simple harness for wrist or leg, but im still workin on a waist harness. The materials to make this if you cant get garters are easily found at any wal-mart. Elastic straps, a cheap staple gun, wire cutters for making the staples the right length after you apply them, or a needle and thread. Tying the ends together may look odd, but with the garters connect end to end with no problem.
My harnesses are so sturdy i can run, jump and even try to shake them to drop the 12 grams or bang them together and they wont(I did this with 2 leg harnesses full of charged 12 grams on). The harness itself moves a little bit, but wont fall off or come undone. I stretched mine pretty far and it wont tear or release the staples(dont use a regular stapler...)
If anyone have questions, comments, or more ideas please post them.
Here are my leg harnesses

13 December 2007 - 01:42 PMMy last topic got really screwed up so im remaking it with basically the same pictures.
I hope No More Goggle Fog attracts more attention than Marker Fog Remedy lol...
Ok i redid the Test from before, but instead of just fogging the mirror with my breath, i took a small mirror outside(37 degrees) after conditioning it with

The mirror was outside on my porch for roughy 20 minutes.
I took a HOT shower and got the bathroom very foggy and placed the mirror in the bathroom, even after 8 minutes the mirror stayed like this

I used the same pictures from my last post, only because the results were exactly the same.
The mirror was easy to fog with my breath before being conditioned.

The results were very convincing to me, and the only reason i didnt test this on a mask is because i dont have my own yet. (yeah i know, im a noob)
Anyways, its only 10 dollars for a years supply of this stuff, and its really easy to use.
12 December 2007 - 06:20 PMI recently found a small container of something that is normally used for glasses, with plastic or glass lenses.
The contents had been melted, but i mashed it back up and stirred it up good and it looked fine.
The name of the product is called Optical Gaurd, and their # is 1-800-326-8436.
Here is what I did. I Cleaned the mirror and tried to fog it up... heres what happened.

Obviously this is what you expect.
After the fog went away, i cleaned the mirror again and rubbed some optic gaurd onto it and attempted to fog it up again... heres the result.

Check it out.
EDIT: Since goggle fog sprays wear off in 2 hrs, 4 hrs ect, tell us about your remedies for fog, besides a great mask ^^
11 December 2007 - 05:31 PMI have been lookin at cheap/small HPA tanks, and im wondering...
How great of a difference will it really make compared to a phantom run on a siphoned Co2 tank?
how many shots can i get out of a 22CI-3000 tank?
Please help me out.
Edit: nvm the 48-3000 lol new questions
11 December 2007 - 10:21 AMWether it was you/someone you shot, tell us of the most unsuspected shot you recieved/gave.
Give full details:
How far it came from/How far you were from them
What they said after the game
Did you/they think they were being sneaky
How long did you watch them before letting them know you were there
What was their reaction
Id have to say the worst shot i ever gave someone was on a small airball field.
I was a noob, in the back bunker (starting bunker) and during the game i thought i ran out of paint,(when actually i had a couple balls left (your sick minded), I just tiled the marker too far to the side to feed them) so i yelled to one of my teammates to give me a pod. (a major noob thing to do)
After anyone failed to give me a pod, some girl came out of nowhere and started firing at me from 15 feet away.
She probably fired 15 times, but due to the rental guns crappy condition, she missed me every time.
My reaction was to immediately turn and shoot or at least scare her into thinking i had some paint, by dry firing.
When she came back around the bunker with her gun in the air i was completely confused
She didnt even look like she had been hit. The game ended with me giving up finally because i was the last guy from my team on the field, and i had no paint.
After the game, I went to meet the girl and ask her what happened, so I walk up to her.
Her back was twards me, but when she turned around i saw one of the ugliest welts I could ever imagine.
DIRECTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF HER FOREHEAD!!! LOL
I asked her how it happened and she said she thought i was out of paint, apparently she heard me yelling to team mates for a pod. So when she jumped out she thought she'd blow me away Rambo style, but instead she was the one that got blown away. She said being shot was the last thing she expected, it was the last thing i expected as well.
I told her I was sorry. If you saw the welt you would understand, not to mention she was smokin hot.
She wasnt mad though, she told me it was a great shot and even hugged me
Tell us yours
