    IMO the SL68II is the BEST starter pump around, It will serve you well through your learning curve & provide a LIFETIME of loaning out if/when you upgrade to a more "personal" rig.

    I would jump on the oppertunity to buy a new one from tippmann before they end up dropping the model again.

    Chances are you put the valve in upside down, and used the gas port for the screw hole.
    Very common.

    My best days have been the ones that I spent time the night before sorting.
    1. It forces you to pick out lumpy eggs & dimpled balls
    2. Simply sorting +/- a set size keeps chrono speeds well within line
    3. With 10 shot markers I personally have seen results, believe it or not, pass it off as perception, argue that there are too many factors... IMO it is time well spent.
