Topics I've Started
05 July 2011 - 03:00 PMI had the coming out party for the POW/MIA gun yesterday 4 July 2011. It was a perfect day. It operated flawless. Once again thank you for allowing me the honor.
17 June 2011 - 09:01 PMThe POW/MIA gun is finally completed. I just have to fire a few hundred rounds thru it. It's never been fired since it was refurbished, reskinned and reanodized. Only air tested.
This gun was made for the memory of those lost and will never be forgotten. Always remember, there are so many still unaccounted for. Very few have returned home and yet so many are still lost, trying to find a way home. We are the only ones who can do that.by never forgetting.
These brave souls gave everything they had for us,and yet many refuse to admit it was them who gave us the priviledge of our freedoms that we have.
This gun does not represent any specific WAR,but represents ALL WAR past and present. It represents the families who still remember them and still cry for them.
There were many involved in this project and I hope I named everyone. If I didn't please let me know.
So Thanks goes out to:
For buying the beat to all HELL lot of used Vibes
For allowing me the HONOR to use the name of your fallen 10th Mountain Brother.
For the excellent engraving you did for this gun.
For finding the awsome pattern I chose and making it all happen. The whole idea spawned from this design.
Stinger Custom Grips:
For the excellent POW/MIA grips that you make.
For coming back and providing help with issues and board repair. For getting me spare parts fast when I needed them and for putting up with me when I bugged you at all hours.
Of Spec Ops forum, for allowing me the Honor of your Cousins name on this gun.
Thanks for making the regulator cover and going with my crazy idea.
For anodizing the reg cover and re-engraving it.
Thanks for having anodized screws in the color I needed. These screws completed the gun.
To everyone else out there in Internet land:
From Ebay to the forums. The freak parts, metal feed necks,to everything else.
As with all things Military, there is always a story:
The Lite Grey Body repesents the haze of smoke from battles past and present.
The Barb Wire represents those that are held captive and have not yet returned home to us.
The Black represents those confined and those who may or will never see the light of day.
The Red screws represents the blood of those who have given the Ultimate Sacrifice for our great nation and it's people.
The Names are those who have been taken from us. They represents not one,but many who have been taken from us.The name on the barrel awaits others while the name on the rotating regulator cover provides a 360* protection, yet he will always be guarded by my hand and others.
They remind us, that we have served with and fought along side many we never knew, but call Our Brothers in Arms, and would give our life for them if need be.
The Grips are a reminder so that ALL OF US never forget those who have given the Ultimate SACRIFICED for our Great Nation.

Here is what happened. I have the wrong version. This version is for the Pinokio Hopper 180 rnd pod. I spoke with Sean (owner of GURU) a little while ago. Great guy. We are in the process of correcting this.
I promised him I would write a retraction to this review so here it is. This is to let everyone know that I donnot have the correct pod carrier. When I get the correct carrier,I will post new pictures and rewrite this review to fit the proper carrier.
Sean said he would stop by and answer a few questions to this review. Best thing, all parts are made in the USA. So stay tune for more. Also I'll be posting some pictures of the carry bag Mom made me. Very simple to do.
Maybe I have an older version or a first run. Looking at this video the pods seem to fit very tight:
Guru Pod stand:
New from my sponsor:
When I was first told about these I was kind of excited. I bought two of these. What really got me to buy it was the fact that my sponsor said how much it would help my wife out while she was loading pods. Yea that sales pitch hooked me right away. Make things easy for the pit crew, and you'll be ready for refit quicker.
So we discussed my price and two were ordered. I imagine there was a delay in orders, due to the time it took me to get them, but it wasn't long and it was a new item on the market.
My Sponsor Pat bought them to me and he had opened one up to take a display picture for his page. No biggy to me. The only issue I really see is how loose the pods fit in the rack. I figured they would have been a little tighter, but then again as you can see from the picture, not all pods are made the same. I imagine this is an issue that GURU will work on.
Well it is an issue they have worked on. I have the wrong type of stand. I have Pinokio pod stands. I now have the proper version I need for my pods.
Pinokio Pod Stands:
Filled with 100 rnd pods:
As you can see,not all 100 rnd pods are the same either. These slant very bad at a bad angle, which I didn't understand why.
Once they are lifted, they will not fall threw, even with full pod weight.
Correct pod holders:
So let's put in some new pictures of the new carrier:
As you can see the pods fit much better. All though the pods vary in OD (Outer Diameter), This is the size hole for the pods. These are all 100 rnd pods. As you can see they are all different brands.
As the pod carrier is lifted, you can see that most of the pods drop down. This is due to the difference in roundness of pods OD. However it does not affect the carrier or pods in any way. It does not affect loading or performance of the item.
27 April 2011 - 12:01 AMION Project 2
23 April 2011
An Orange bolt arrived today, so this will replace the stock ION bolt. Not sure what it will add as far as performance, but at the price I paid,it was well worth adding it.
21 April 2011
Well I spoke with Renick Miller today about the SSC body. Seems the Oring groove was cut to deep to seal the BOB cap to the body. They are in the process of getting me a new back cap. As I am not fussy about color I told Renick it did not matter even if the cap was pink lol. I'm not going to throw a fit. I am just happy that they were able to help me out with this issue and I'll have the SSC project continue at a later date using this body. For now we will continue with the blue body and get this project out of the way.
16 Apr 2011
So Iam scrapping the ANS frame idea. This frame was built for one body only and that was the ANS body itself. Now I have to find a stock ION frame for this project. The search goes on.
9 Apr 2011
The new Shocktech body arrived. Also the new fron breech. I have a feeling it's changing to an older style breech. Ordered the new frame from ANS.
30 Mar 2011
Spoke with Bad Boys Toys. Body arrived, but waiting in line for repairs. There are a few infront of me.
ION Breech arrived from Paintball Gateway today. Looks nice
2 April 2011:
Found a milled thru version new of the SSC body. Will be using this instead.
Well the first ION inspired me to make another. This time it will me mostly custom parts. Other than the board,it's just going to be stock. I can never figure out how to use the boards with all the super ramping modes and such.
I was going to use the SSC body, but it's leaking and at BBT right now waiting inspection and repair. So instead I have decided to move this project in a newer direction. Changing out the bodies to the milled thru version of the one below.
I'm not going to wait on BBT to return the body. Found a deal on Ebay,so I'll be using this body.
Breech and Firing Can:
I'll be using a BNIB black breech and firing can combo I bought on ebay.
Will be using an Orange bolt I bought for a very good price on MCB:). It doesn't even look like it was ever used.
As mentioned in my last ION projects,I have a very few ION spare parts. This is why I don't sell spares. I can always use them. So what I will be using is my spare board, and spare hose. I'll pick up some banjo fittings at the local field down the road.
I misplaced my Tech-T detents, then found them after I installed the Orange detents. The detents came with the bolt,so extra special deal for me.
As always I will be using my favorite barrel system, the Smart Parts Freak. I might as well get my $100+ dollars worth I spent on it 7 yrs ago. Use the HELL out of this system,I paid for it,so might as well use it.
Stock ION frame. Getting harder to find. Guess this is the best frame to use.
So here is where I'll leave it now. as time goes on and if this project changes I'll post up what's going on.
20 March 2011 - 05:00 PMSOLD
One thing clear before I write this:
VIBE/ENVY = Same Gun Just different names and body cuts
SP1/G1 = Same Gun Just different name and feed system
Yes this board will work on all 4 of these Smart Parts/GOG Guns
So on with the sale. I have come to the realization that Iam to old to try and figure out these virtue boards. Just to many codes, values etc. So I want to sell my board. Here's the best part,it's not full price. I will sell it for what I paid for it.
$68.00 paypal and shipped.
I figured it would be an easier board to program. Instead it's just a pain for me,to many lights and trigger pulls. This board is EYE ready. So if your body is milled for EYEs, you are good to go.
So if you are interested,PM me or post up. Cash is king so paypal is first priority. Not interested in trades, but you never know.
Iam not dropping the price. I would rather keep it and pay one of the kids at the field to show me how to use it.
First picture is the Ebay pic from the sale. Last 4 pictures are mine. What you see is what you get as far as the board. Gun not included:
