Topics I've Started

  1. Tippmann A5 MP5 SD2

    13 April 2008 - 08:53 PM

Here's my almost fully modded Tippmann A5. I'm pretty much set in terms of looks, and I'd say it's just about spot on for an MP5SD2.

    The parts are:

    Picatinny See-Through Riser
    Tippmann/SO MP5SD fore-grip
Special Ops A2 Airthrough Stock Kit
    Trinity Aluminum MP5 Gas-Through Magazine
    BSA 30mm Red Dot (RD30)
    X7 Hopper
Pro-Team Hyper Star Bolt (Probably a waste of money, but I've had it, it works, so I put it in)
    CP .689 12 in. barrel

I dremeled off the fin on the A5 body so the SD grip could be held closer to the receiver.
I also have a Lapco Bigshot barrel for big bore paint.

    Things I still need/want:
E-grip or Response Trigger (I don't like batteries, but I'm still tempted)
TechT Cyclone Upgrade Kit: QEPH, Vortex Mod, Lightning Rod, Squishy Paddles
See-Through Lens Covers to protect my Red Dot from paintball hits.

Although Tippmann advertises that the X7 hopper gives you a clean line of sight, it actually still gets in the way just a little bit. I'd say it covers the right 1/3 of my red dot sight lens, but it's not really problem.

So what do you all think? About how it looks now, and what I should still upgrade/change?

    Thanks
