Topics I've Started
30 December 2012 - 10:10 PMHey guys,
Been a while I know. Busy with life and all...got out paintballing just once this past summer. Worst!
Anyways, just hoping for a bit of a price range for one set of stuff (interested in a Squall or Airowgun, but we will see what happens there).
1) Tac One Automag with original RT pin and ULT, CCM feedneck, cp on/off, stock JJ barrel and a two piece JJ with a 12" and 18" piece (had longbow for a while). The marker was teched by Tuna just before I last played with it this summer.
2) Ninja Tank with custom 1200 psi reg for the RT effect. Marker has extra strong (3000 psi, 4500 psi burst or something) macroline to accomodate this. It's a 68/4500 I believe, 3 years hydro still and has always had a tank cover on.
3) Empire Prophecy with stock top and extra large top (for the girlfriend).
Just has normal ULT rail since I sold the Longbow stuff a couple years ago.
Thoughts on value?
EDIT: Man, I need a new picture. Since I finished my Undergraduate I've dropped 35 lbs running
07 September 2012 - 10:37 PMI've certainly seen worse, but this made me laugh a bit:
A5 .... $1000
27 September 2011 - 11:45 PMAnyone ever had their eye on a marker but had no money (and no chance of having a decent budget in the foreseeable future)?
I've had a few...
In particular, I'm looking at Automag RT Classics. My Tac One is away being repaired
How about you guys?
Ever find yourself repeatedly googling it, looking at the ones for sale? Post pictars!
18 September 2011 - 01:38 PMHey guys,
If you wouldn't mind for curiousity's sake, please download and run this test to see how well your computer performs on a variety of tasks: http://video.cloudfr...CSuite2007.zip.
I recently overclocked my CPU to 4.5 GHz, and noticed my "Multitasking" score went down, but my other two scores went up. Hyperthreading would probably have helped a fair bit.
Image editing (1932);
Video Encoding (3459);
Note: this is a fairly large file (338 MB), so alternatively you could download RealTemp here. Once you bring up RealTemp (it may take the form of numbers on lower right task bar, just right click and hit "Restore"), press the XS Bench at the bottom.
If on a laptop in particular, make sure it is on a desk, not carpet, so it stays cooler.
My RealTemp score is: 1842, in 7.942 seconds - the "high score" isn't the greatest, but it is 2308, in 6.338 seconds (at 5.7 GHz on a different processor).
Laptop score = 1097, in 13.340 seconds.
Hardware: Intel i5 2500k 4.5 GHz
Laptop: Intel i5-460 M (Turbo to 2.8 GHz)
09 September 2011 - 05:46 PMHey guys, as it stands, my Automag is lacking some o-rings (I tore the only one of one of the new ones I ordered) so I'm going to have to use my Super Stocker (boo hoo, right?).
I used my Phantom in a scenario once before, and other than sneaking right behind enemy lines and getting a couple captures, I was relatively ineffective. Bush tends to make crap cover when the opposing players can just mow it down with autos....
I was wondering what you guys think would be an appropriate style of play in this, as while I am not afraid to take on a few electros in a straight fight...there are more than a few, and many places for them to hide. Should I stay with the main group of players who have no strategy, go it alone, find a team that knows eachother better...? What role should I play?
Oh, though as a nice bonus compared to last time, I have my best friend going (probably with his A5 instead of his Phantom), and will be meeting 1 more SC player, a spray-and-pray player with a Mini (played with them once but we kept in contact in case we could play same day again), and a team of pump (open class and others) players I haven't got to play with yet. Any ideas how we could organize our group to be most effective?
It's offensive, I know, but to give you guys an idea of the scenario ... it's "The Hunt for Osama Bin Laden" ... we, as the Marines, must obtain several props in order to be allowed to enter a fortress where Osama (and two fakes) are hiding out. You cannot enter the fortress, but may provide cover fire if you do not. There was another bit about a camp we have to protect, and if the terrorists take something from this town we get one less shooter inside the building; alternatively if we capture enough terrorists by touching them (I believe) we can reduce the number of fake Osamas.
So, we need mobile forces to make it to each prop (each individual must get there, we can't just bring it back for our team), but we need defenders for the town.
