  1. What Type of Personality?

    22 January 2013 - 01:57 PM

    http://www.humanmetr...win/jtypes2.asp (the quiz)

    http://personalitypa.../portraits.html (personality profiles)

This is a pretty decent personality test...you guys should all take it so I can see how you compare :)

My Results..I(89%)N(12%)T(75%)J(44%) Essentially I'm a major introvert who prefers intuition, thinking and judging. 5 of my 8 family members who took the test were the same personality type. We only have 2 extroverts, and one of them was a 1% stronger preference to being an extrovert..so that doesn't really count. The other introverts were INFJ's...so they like feeling. I thought it was interesting both how we had so many introverts, and also we ended up with only one strongly extroverted kid.

You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (89%)

You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%)

You have distinctive preference of Thinking over Feeling (75%)

You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (44%)
  2. KONY 2012

    07 March 2012 - 10:35 AM

The past day my newsfeed on facebook has suddenly errupted into a frenzy about the Invisible Children and ther KONY 2012 campaign. Essentially, invisible children is a non profit organization that wants to stop the use of children as soliders specifically in Uganda. Their main target, Joseph Kony, a major player in the children soldiers issue. They ask people to donate to the cause, and raise awareness, with the hope that the United States will become involved and help to take out Kony.

    http://s3.amazonaws....012/kony-4.html

the organizations main site, allowing people to donate and purchase shirts, posters, among other items to suppor the 'cause.

So of course, I had to do some research, as I'm not particularly willing to jump on board with organizations 100% unless I know a little bit about them. So I pulled up these two articles.

    http://blog.joerenke...f1a5d8f60598268

This one basically says that the company is using the donations for their own personal game and are a complete scam. The second, again bashes the company, stating that the company backs up the army despite the accusations agains the Ugandan army of Rape and Murder.

    http://visiblechildren.tumblr.com/

Since it's going viral, I figured I'd ask, what's your guys take on the whole situation? And do you think America shuld be involved at all? Is it our place to step in and correct the issues of other countries, or do we just let them go their course unless they are a direct threat towards us?
  3. My First Scenario

    19 September 2011 - 04:36 PM

I was asked to write the scenario for a local paintball event. I decided to do a black hawk down scenario. Figured I'd post it up and see what you guys think, final changes have to be made by Wednesday.

  4. Hurricane Irene..

    30 August 2011 - 12:50 PM

Well, as I'm sure all of you know, Hurricane Irene hit the east coast, not the terrible hurricane that many were worried about. But...well, lets just say my area took a beating, not because of the actual rain, but because, they built a nice big dam up on hill...

These are just some pics from the area...I know where each of them is...barns, houses, garages were all carried away, mudslides knocked down horses, a 40 foot barge was fleeing down the river, they managed to catch it before it caused damages...all the farms are pretty much done as far as crops go, one farm lost 160,000 worth of prize cattle.

The entire town of Middleburgh is under water, up to the roofs of the houses, the town of Schoharie was up past the 1st floor of the houses, huge sections of the road in my town are gone. Fortunately the Gilboa dam didn't break...otherwise the entire valley would have been wiped out.

That's my town, this was one of the less badly hit areas around me.

  5. Most Memorable Dream

    20 August 2011 - 05:45 PM

You know when you have a dream, whether it is so realistic you begin to wonder if you are actually dreaming, or so absurd you don't know how your brain even makes it up. We so often forget our dreams, but other times we just can't seem to shake them. So, what type of dreams do you have, any really crazy ones...

Also, you know when you feel like you can control your dream, apparently it's called lucid dreaming. I'm actually pretty good at it, I will often wake up in the middle of my dream...but want to finish it, and am able to actually reenter dreamworld and control what happens from there out. I mastered this skill back when my parents divorced, I used to force myself to dream to escape from reality...and no, I wasn't just daydreaming, I know the difference.

As far as my most memorable dream, back when I was probably 15 years old (3 years ago) I had a dream one night that I was being hunted by the Grim Reaper...I had been at my neighbors house when he showed up, but managed to get away and ride my bike home, at that point, I had all the doors locked and everything, and suddenly the window in my living room shattered and the grim reaper was in my house...so I grabbed a bread knife and slit his neck...as I did so his cape fell and it was one of my friends. And of course the Grim Reaper was really still standing in my living room, and started coming towards me...That's when I woke up in cold chills...and didn't sleep the rest of the night
