Topics I've Started
02 July 2009 - 08:27 PMI was thinking that bikes in paintball would be really fun. I dont know if feilds would make them follow the guidelines of tanks but i think they would be superior to the larger motor vehicle tanks. You sacrifice the stability and presence of a four wheeled tank but you gain many things such as: speed, manuevarability, cheaper, you would present a smaller target, you could go places larger tanks couldnt and bikes dont make noise. The only problems would be firing mechanisms, stability on extreme terrain, firepower and not to mention the player could easily get exhausted. For firing mechanisms i was thinking a havoc launcher on the front of the bike with an electronic trigger built into the handle grips. for fixing the stability i have no idea as to a fix. firepower you could add a semi auto elec trigger rig the other handle and mount the marker to another point on the bike. I was thinking of adding an electric chain motor and attaching it to the bike chain and putting one or two car batteries on the frame and adding yet another button to activate the motor. this would eliminate the exaustion hopefully. I know that alot of bike come in shiny bright finishes but let imagination fix that (old ghillie, spray paint and zipties anyone?)
Good quality mountain bikes can be picked up for like 200-300 dollars at your local store (or you could head to your neighborhoods junkyard if your feeling cheap.)
im pretty positive that the whole bike thing would cost less then a full scale tank thus you can make more than just one. All of this of course is just an idea and not something i think would be implemented anytime soon. Please discuss with comments, criticism or suggestions. :usa:
05 May 2009 - 01:06 PMok simple question. would a firestorm crank fit on a bt-4 combats trigger frame and would it operate correctly?
03 May 2009 - 01:39 PMI have recently bought an sp1 and i also grabbed a t storm along with it for a backup marker. im building an aluminum case that snaps around the t storm and getting a 20inch barrel for it and making the shroud for it to make it machinegun looking for when i go play scenario. only problem is that the hopper with the t storm is like 140 balls. is it safe for me to cut the top and attache a plastic box to it so it can hold maybe 2000. and would it work? i would attach it by melting the plastics toegether and have the box supported by the aluminum frame. much appreciated for any help.
03 May 2009 - 06:47 AMI have gotten tired of renting guns and I am looking to purchase my own gun. I went to a proshop and saw three particular guns that got me interested. The spyder mr1, Smart parts sp-1 and the bt4 combat. I like the feel of all the guns as the owner let me hold them. What he didnt specify was what the maintinence was like on any of the guns. So which gun do you guys and girls think would be the best gun for the money and the maintinence?
