03 July 2009 - 07:03 PMOk, so heres the deal. I bought a used DM8 off ebay and it just arrived today. When I screwed in my airtank, put my hopper on and loaded in some balls to go out and test it, and when I turned it on the flashing green light appeared. Which means that the eyes are malfunctioning. So I unloaded my hopper and degassed the DM8 and proceded to read the manual which said that there was a problem with the eyes. I took out the ball detent/plastic thing (I cant recall the name) cleaned it, and then cleaned the eyes. I then opened the grip and put in a new nine volt battery and tried it again, this time both with the eyes on and off. Both times I tried to fire it, nothing happened, not even the sound of a dry fire. Just some clicking noise's from my pulling of the trigger. I removed my hopper and dry fired it with no paintball in the breech. The bolt did not move forward at all. I then turned the LPR all the way down and then set it to the factory preset and still it didnt fire.
I have no lube or oil with me so I have not done any matinince on it. I also do not know the last time it was cleaned or lubed scince I bought it used. Any help will be appreciated.
09 June 2009 - 06:06 PMHey guys, I have a JT flex 8 mask with thermal lense's, I've been having some problems with visibilty lately, there not fogging, but there is some smearing that makes it harder to see out, even when theres nothing on there.
What are the best ways to clean a thermal lense's both at a field, and at home?
31 May 2009 - 09:07 AMI logged onto facebook this morning, and saw a new update from Tippmann. They have another marker coming out! This time its a collabaration between tippmann and US army paintball, just like the Alpha Black. I had heard some scuttlebut that it might be a cheaper version of the X7, but heres the offcial info.
"Last week Tippmann launched the TPX Paintball Pistol; next week U.S. Army Paintball has something new.
Just to peak your interest, this new marker is:
· Customizable, upgradable and affordable
· Durable, reliable and of course, made by Tippmann
· What the scenario player wanted next from U.S. Army Paintball
Here are just a few of the comments from some of the players that have seen this new marker…
This marker is going to turn some heads. I believe this marker is taking customization to the next level. With the huge popularity of Military First Person Shooters like Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare and Ghost Recon, this is the look players have been waiting for.
That looks AMAZING! A lower-priced marker that can be modded almost limitlessly? I can’t imagine why Tippmann won’t sell a million of them!
Wow! Another head-turner so quickly. Visually very impressive. A great way to draw new players in, or encourage people to expand their marker collection.
We look forward to sharing this release with you on Monday."
looks exciting, eh? Unless it completly blows my mind though, I dont intend to buy it, for I am saving up for a pump.
