09 August 2009 - 01:51 AMi haven't been on in awhile, but that looks pretty slick. maybe i'll give it a shot on my 2.5x scope this winter when i get bored. thanks for the help man
04 August 2009 - 09:35 PMI voted Mag, i love my Tac-One to bits, its easy to clean, quiet, reliable, and light. Although switching from an A5 to this, i haven't really noticed the air efficiency thing. on and the lack of batteries is another definate plus. Mine is setup as a Longbow, and i don't care what people say about it, i love it, play with it and it only. Take on groups of 2-3, and majority of the time, i come out the victor.
30 July 2009 - 07:23 PMHey guys,
I've been looking at going to D-Day for the last few years, only problem was, the cost of travelling obviously, now seeing that you guys do convoys, and all the sorts, my dreams are looking like they are becoming a reality. Now the only thing that is my issue, if i do join the CEF, is there a unit for snipers? (I'm sure i'm hearing some people's skin crawl right now for that question) I've been playing the position for roughly 3-4 years now, and i believe i'm very adept at it. I'm already trying to save up for D-Day 2010, and with winter rolling around, i'll be making some good coin. Also, anybody know if they use the new Tiberius FS rounds there yet? cause i'd like to know if it'll be worth bringing my modded marker for this!
29 July 2009 - 12:52 AMSorry if I misunderstand you. But are you suggesting you pivot the longbow feed 90degrees?
no. He's talking about using a magazine feed similar to the longbow, but for first strike rounds. Because of their shape, they can't be fed horizontally very easily(like with a standard longbow mag, so we'd need something to rotate the rounds as they go into the chamber, similar to the way the FN P90 feeds its rounds. They are in the magazine above the barrel, perpendicular to it, and need to rotate 90* to be fed into the breech
I've been pondering the P90 style loader, and i don't think its actually possible. I think the twisting of the round in the tube, may either damage, or warp the rear portion of the round. Now i've yet to get my hands on this round. (Myself and the local Paintball supplier are both unimpressed at this issue.) So i don't know the sturdyness of the rear portion of the round. I've heard things about it, but i'm not one for taking the word of others when it comes to designing, i gotta see it for myself. Once i figure this little issue out, and i get a design ready, i'll post it. That is unless someone beats me to it. I'm unfortunately at the mercy of the laws of supply and demand. I demand this round, but i'm not getting a supply.
26 July 2009 - 11:33 PMfor questions on the FS rounds, check out YouTube, theres a few videos of people firing em, including the one from Tiberius Arms, but he was using their LE marker, and not a T9
