20 January 2009 - 08:26 PMThis A2 foregrip is the bloody devil. Srsly.
Anyhow, my A5 I've been beating up for the last two days, sans the foregrip:
Now, I can get the foregrip/forestock on to where it looks somewhat decent, & would be playable, albeit annoyingly. Front looks good, but is slightly uneven, although you may not be able to tell so from the photo:
Side even looks alright @ first glance:
However, it's evident from the top that the forestock is hardly "tight":
...as well as the view looking toward the barrel:
I have put the airline in every conceivable position possible...even scratching a 1"x1/2" chunk of paint off in the process, & making a large slice in the new foregrip from a flat-head that slipped while I was using it to keep the airline down. None of this really bothers me, but what does is that I want to get this to work, & preferably w/out busting out a dremel which will likely end w/ it still not connecting right, as well as negate any chance on returning/replacing the part.
I'm convinced this has something to do w/ the fact that I've been given some thick butt steel braided airline, as literally every pic I can find of an installed dogleg utilizes an apparently smooth, black macroline. Also, the lip on the foregrip that I presume would go on top of said line, isn't much of a lip @ all...and contrary to what the directions state, there has been no "snapping" to indicate such.
I'd also like to point out that I've taken this to three pro-shops, one of which is speedball oriented only, & apparantly never comes across Tippmanns, & the other two being totally unfamiliar w/ any mods pertaining to the Dogleg or Commando stock. Odd.
Anyhow, any advice, suggestions, direction-pointing, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Furthermore, I'm not going to get rid of the dogleg, nor am I not going to use the air-through...but if there happens to be some other foregrip/forestock out there that you know of (& functions in the same manner, i.e. w/ the dogleg), please let me know.
Many thanks in advance.
18 January 2009 - 09:14 PMI understand that many of the dual-triggers for the non-magnetized A5 E-Grips (i.e. 1st gen, & WAS) do not fit the E-Grip H.E., and I further understand that the X7s utilize the E-Grip H.E.
So is it fair to say that an X7 dual-trigger (such as THIS) will work in a E-Grip H.E. on an A5?
Speculation is grrrrreat, but I'd be especially enthused to hear from somebody whom already has this particular set-up.
Please & thank-you!
12 January 2009 - 08:29 AMI recently picked up a new marker after a 15 year hiatus from paintballing, & am looking for a woodsball group (preferably within/around the greater Flint-area) to casually play w/, & perhaps attend area events. If you're interested in gaining another player for your games, or are able to point me in the right direction, please feel free to email me @ firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
