Topics I've Started
13 November 2007 - 04:03 PMI saw a thread like this on PbNation, and I think it should be brought over here because it was just that epic. Basically, it goes like this:
There is a plane. I don't care what it is, Boeing 747, C-130, F-15, Cessna 172, whatever. It's just a standard plane with a standard engine (no thrust vectoring or VTOL-capability or anything like that). So our plane is there, not flying and with its landing gear out. The brakes are not on, the wheels are free to spin. Here's the kicker, the plane is sitting on a gigantic treadmill, with infinite length. The treadmill is also magic, because whatever speed the wheels on our plane are going, the treadmill will match that speed in the opposite direction. If the wheels are spinning at 20 mph forward, the treadmill goes 20 mph backwards. So, keeping that in mind, here's the question: if the engines are turned on, will the plane be able to take off?
I say yes, and I'll explain my position later if and when this thread takes off (nice pun, eh?) and someone shoots my position down (on a roll).
Anyone who thinks the plane won't take off should read this: http://www.straightd...mns/060203.html
08 September 2007 - 05:47 PMI'm looking for all the parts to build another Mag, here's what I'm looking for:
Classic Valve or a really cheap Retro Valve
RPG Splinter Rail
Foregrip (VA + Bike grip setup is always supreme)
I have some screws and other needed parts lying around, so that's basically all I need. If anyone is willing to let me buy this stuff off them, shoot me a PM on here, PBN, AO or get me on AIM.
Iranosaurus Rex hasn't added any friends yet.
