    You could, if you wanted to go cheap, take a rail and JB weld it to the top of the receiver. Just make sure you only glue it to one receiver half, so you can open the gun afterwards.


    Dude, that shroud does "work". Its adds the functionality that I was looking for, plus I enjoy the milsim look. Of course it will add weight and if that is a concern then yes, other options may be better for you. For me, weight is not really an issue. It adds a couple of extra pounds which doesnt hinder me (for my body type). Just wanted to give an option that had not yet posted yet. Remember, what doesn't "work" for you may for others.
