Topics I've Started

  1. Anyone else here part of the Bubba Army?

    14 November 2008 - 11:25 AM

Just putting a feeler out there seeing if anyone else here is a member of the Bubba Army. That would be loyal listeners to Bubba The Love Sponge on Sirius Satellite Radio.

    that's all
  2. Just shaved, looking to accessorize

    13 November 2008 - 10:25 PM

Did a search and didn't really find exactly what I was after.....

I shaved the front lip off of my A5. I now have the Lapco M4 mag that slides over the air line. With my old mag, it was an ebay special that just mounted using the front grip bolt. Now that that is gone, and the Lapco mounts closer to the trigger assembly, I am looking to add a rail to the front of the marker where the lip/front grip used to be.

What's the best way of going about this? Just drill, tap, mount? It can't be that easy, can it? Nothing I do is that easy!
  3. The best investment thus far!

    07 November 2008 - 11:23 PM

So when asked what my most valuable upgrade to my gear is, I usually reply with : " my coupler for my remote." It is, by far, the best thing since sliced bread. I was having a lot of problems with the o-rings in my slide check. I know, in part, due to the fact that I am still running Co2. Not for much longer. Anyways, I did a search on the web, and came up with a quick disconnect unlike any others that I had seen. I called up the manufacturer after seeing that people were complaining because you can't get them anymore. Obtained a few, and have since become an outlet for them to reach the public again.

Anyways, this isn't a sales pitch, it is just simply showing the best thing I've done to my gear to date, and others who have them share the same sentiments.....

It's shorter than a normal slide check:

And there is not problem with a blasted o-ring all the time. Just a little slice of heaven!
  4. Finally decided to sign up here at the forums

    07 November 2008 - 10:53 PM

Hey all. Been kind of lurking around the specops sites and thought I would get my foot in the door here at the forums.

My name is Neil and I am in Wisconsin. I am 95% woodsball/scenario, 5% whatever anyone else wants to play I'm down.

As far as camo, I have lead a fruitful life. Started with all black about 16 years ago. Switched it up to standard woodland. Wanted to be different, so I opted for the Vietnam era Tiger Stripe. Was in love with that until I discovered MARPAT. The switch was obvious. Once the digital got over popular, I wanted something obscure again.......God (who ever that may be) led me to Multicam. I haven't looked back since. haha

I currently have my main which is an A5.

I've also got a few Traccer pumps laying around. A few Mokal Titans (T1 and T2's) that I like to use once in a while. And an old piranha that I haven't even touched yet.

I am the team leader for Team Akkadian. We are currently 11 members strong, and growing.

We are setting our sites on Oklahoma DDay 2009. We have been recruited by the German 716th. Can't wait. We are so excited, that I went out and bought a school bus just for the trip! haha

I am a regular on the A5OG, 98OG, X7OG, and what used to be the T8OG. I frequent minnesotascenariopaintball.com, and milsimempire.com. I hope to spend some of my not so free time here as well now.

That's about it I guess. Any questions/comments, please feel free!
  5. My custom paintjobs

    07 November 2008 - 10:02 PM

Hey, I've got a few custom "paintjobs" on my gear. We use licensed Multicam material for our "hydro printing."

    Enjoy:
