21 March 2011 - 04:13 PMWhat do ya think ?
12 April 2009 - 11:26 PMThe black one has a copper flange on the end of the flatline (modded into a 416 shroud).
The other is with a regular flatline.
The video doesn't do it the justice it earns in person.

03 March 2009 - 10:09 PMSo ... I ordered a 416 shroud from Opsgear,
despite them telling me that this would not work.
I did my research ... I looked at a LOT of pictures.
I was convinced it would work.
I was right !
Here's what I've done, thus far:
I didn't like the bumps pictured here.
So, I cut them off with a razor for a smoother top along that side.
I hacksawed off the bulk of the flatline base & ground off the excess
on a grinding wheel.
This screw was difficult to get in all the way.
It turns out that the nut was a just little rusted.
It cleaned up easily enough.
Here is the flatline mounted in the 416 shroud.
Great success !
I also stripped the paint off the clamshells & I'll be painting that
There are bigger & cooler plans for this project.
I'll keep posting as I get further along.
16 February 2009 - 05:22 PMSo ... a guy I work with had my Razorback for a long time.
He was gonna use it to scare deer outta his garden.
Apparently that never happened & it just sat there forever.
Yesterday I got it back & started sharpening up her appearance.
I took it apart yesterday, to clean & oil it.
It's actually in pretty minty shape, for an old pig.
I attribute this to the green duct tape it had on there forever,
along with a nearly complete lack of use.
It was an awful mess, but it looks great now !
A bit of carb cleaner got the tape residue off the body in short order.
(* A noteworthy discovery, in my mind.)
The rubber was all still perfect.
It's a pretty solid gun, overall ... & weighty too.
(Not like A-5 heavy, but 'chunky'.)
I really dislike the M-16 angle on the grip though.
My hand winces with memories of the marker's last outting.
It's definately better to play, using gloves with it.
Either way ...
It'll be a good novelty for playing against newbies, come summer !
Anyone else ever play with one of these ?
Mine is the 11"-ish barrel version & the other one was 14", I think.
