  1. A-5 Flatline in a SO MP5SD6 Shroud

    15 October 2008 - 09:17 AM

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum, but old to paintball. Been playing on and off for about 15 years.
I own a bunch of different guns, and its only been recently that I have gotten a hold of a 98C (within the last year) and an A-5 (within the last week).

I have a lot of expensive hobbies, and I tend to wait for people to sell used or for prices to come down.

At any rate, the A-5 I have has a Flatline barrel, and I am a big fan of the MP5 SD6 Shroud that SO puts out. I really want to build the A-5 as an MP5 SD with the folding stock and all, but I don't want to loose the flatline accuracy (and reduce the front weight a little).

What I was wondering was, is it possible to put the barrel (with out the metal pipe covering) into the MP5 SD shroud? The look roughly the same height, and while I understand there will be a lot of modifying to the shroud, I think it can be done. But, before I go and cut up a perfectly good (and expensive) shroud, I was wondering if anyone has done or attempted this before?

If not, I am willing to do a write-up on how I did it, but I'd need a few pics of the inside of the shroud from those that already have it. I want to see what the inner structure looks like to determine if it is possible. I also need the measurement from the front of the gun to the end of the shroud. If anyone could give me any info, I'd be most appreciative.
