  1. Airsoft for practice

    28 October 2008 - 11:53 AM

Does anybody else out there feel that using airsoft guns to practice for paintball is an ok exception to using paintball markers? I mean i know that this is a paintball forum and I love the game. It's just that I don't make alot of money and the only way that I can really stay sharp is to practice with airsoft guns.
There not the same but The pellots for ammo and the batterys to run the guns cost a lot less than going out and buying paintballs and co2 all the time. The only thing is that it feels like a betrayal to paintball.
  2. Paintball Etiquet-be safe and fair

    15 October 2008 - 12:59 PM

I recently played paintball with some friends of mine and the whole time I saw things that were really diturbing to me. This Thread is meant to shed some light on different issues that we have all seen or heard about, that gives our great sport a bad name.
    1. During one round of our game I saw a team-mate get tagged out and try to call himself out, but was unable to do so because his opponent was still shooting and hitting him. Finally after what seemed like forever the shooter stopped, and my team-mate was able to call himself out. Once my team-mate was 'officially' out he walked up to the shooter and just about punched him in the face. Luckily before a fight broke out the shooter's team leader walked up and intervened. neddless to say the shooter was repremanded, and put on the bench for three rounds. --- The point here is that when you shoot and tag someone give them a chance to call themselves out. This whole deal of shooting till they bleed is not how paintball is supposed to be played.

    2. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR MASK ON. I don't know how many times I've seen someone take off their mask while on the field during a paintball match. I don't care if the mask is fogging up, or if its too tight you have to keep it on until you reach the safety area. If just one paintball hits you in a vital area it can lead to some very serious complications. LIKE BLINDNESS <-- DUH!
  3. Modding Your Mask

    09 October 2008 - 11:02 AM

I guess you could say that i'm pretty obsessed with paintball and anything that can be associated with the sport. Recently I made some modifications to my mask by adding my own fan, and a speaker so that I could listen to my tunes while playing. I also painted my mask a really cool olive drab color so that it would blend in to the surrounding trees and brush more. I'll have to take pictures and post them but that will have to wait till my next post. So leave your comments and I'll get back to you. I'll Also help you DIY These mods by writing up some directions. CIAO
