02 September 2011 - 09:18 AMHaving played this field several times now it's awesome. The mines are very safe and everything is marked clearly, the people who own the mines are great guys and really want to make sure that everyone has a positive exeriance. I know that every field claims to be the best most unique exeriance ever but thoughs fields don't have a under ground mine. There are a few lights down some of the tunnels and there are sections that are completely dark, another cool aspect of playing in the mine is that it's quiet. You can be in the front of the mine and there could be a large fire fight in the back of the mine and you would never know it.
I know that when people think of a mine they think of doing deep under ground but this mine is a Horizontal mine it's in the side of a hill so it's nothing like a deep earth mine being miles and miles underground none of that here. So we won't end up like the guys in Soth America. The mine is a Silica Mine, Not a Coal Mine i know that when people think of South Eastern Ohio they think Coal Mine. This was a place where they mined Silica to make iron molds for the foundries in Ironton Ohio, so not only do you get to play paintball in a mine but you get some hisotry as well (nice right).
If anyone has questions or wants to see pics we have some older posts with pics and info on the mine in there. Here soon I'll try to get the poster posted in here. Trust me you don't want to miss this game, fun will be had by all.
