21 May 2009 - 06:26 PMJust call me 'flag runner', lol
That's if your legs aren't too tired from two weekends of play in a row!
BTW: no one better ever call me "flag runner", I'm getting too old (outta shape more like) to be running that fast w/ a full paintball loadout. Last time I did it, it was a very small CTF game, late afternoon, on Omaha actually. It was like 3 on 4, last game of the day, just to waste some paint -- I made a run for the flag, pulled it & took off for our base while the one guy still in on my side tried to keep the other teams heads down. I almost fell down 3 times in the 120' run back to our flag, gasping & wheezing the whole way. Of course for some reason we were using the full size country flags on a 5' pole, so it's not like the "flag running" we'll have to do at D-Day... but I'm still probably too slow. I'm really good at suppression fire though
Moral of the story: I freaking hate running... but really it's my fault for not exercising (hehe).
Start smoking I have noticed that when you have that heart attack feeling, you just think its adrenaline...
19 May 2009 - 03:16 PMIf I remember correctly there was Poland represented at D-Day...
19 May 2009 - 01:31 PMYes, Germans will need to win side missions to earn the trust of their Fuehrer to counterattack more important targets. However, there is also "something" built in to the game that may trigger an all out counterattack by the Germans... so be on the lookout for that. If that "something" is triggered, then it could suck pretty hard for the allies if they've worked all afternoon to gain a toehold, only to have an all out counterattack happen across the map. If you read through your history books, Hitler wasn't convinced that the Normandy landings were the true invasion force, so he kept a lot of his reserves ready to attack in Pas de Calais. Hmmmm.....
You know Mike, I've been saying this phrase over and over again the last couple events that you guys created...
I really don't like you!!!
