something i have noticed about speedballers playing in the woods is that at the break they are going to sprint up to about the mid-line and are going ti wait in a bunker and are not going to go very far after that. you are going to need to use this to your advantage. the speedballer is not going to go out on a patrol looking for you so setting an ambush is not going to be a very practical option. one of the hardest things a sniper needs to learn/do is get into 1 shot 1 kill range of a not moving target that is just scanning the field looking for you.

    good luck sniper

    just remember :P >

  3. In Topic: when is a hit a hit?

    05 June 2008 - 05:55 AM

This is taken from the SPPL rules and it sums it up well

10.0 Eliminations: Elimination is defined as any hit or splatter from a paintball and subsequent break resulting in a marking on the player or their active equipment that is equal or greater than the size of a dime. Any paint splatter from a paint grenade or mine regardless of size – results in a player’s elimination.
10.1 Obvious hits: are those hits which impact and break on easily observable places on the body or equipment being carried by the hit player. This may include but not limited to hands, arms, head, mask, legs, and marker/hopper.
10.2 Unobvious hits; are those which impact and break on players or equipment in those areas defined as being not easily observable. Players with unobvious hits will be eliminated but will not be penalized. This may include but not limited to pods, pod packs, remote coils and remote tank.( tanks on your back)

16.1 Ghillie Suits: Any player wearing a full or partial ghillie suite (including ghillie that is attached to load bearing equipment) made of burlap or radar-disbursing vinyl mesh is required to call any direct hit as an elimination regardless of whether the paintball broke or not.

the RAP4 guns advertise the max range of 300ft, and that is the max range for any paintball gun shooting 290-300FPS angled at 45 degrees. it says it can make head shots at 150ft, it gave no percentage. give me a case of paint and put a mask 150ft away and i bet i can hit it.
