it reminds me of that famous cave where people base jump into it. but 30 stories is insanely massive!! i live in florida and we get them all the time. even had one open up on the gokart track at the arcade i used to work at. about 20 foot deep and wide, but 30 stories!!!!!!!!!!!!

how would you like to have been the guy across the street waitin for the bus or havin a latte, and all of a sudden *crump* giant hole in front of you.

Guy having the latte will start thinking it's spiked just a little bit too much.

It says at the bottom they don't know what they are going to do, my thought is they should leave it and make a tourist attraction out of it.

They could, but how? It's 300 feet deep. they'd have to spend a ton of cash to shore up the sides and make it safe. Even then.... Another hurricane could still cause more to wash out.

Just put up walls around it and say, "Hey wanna see it? Twenty bucks." And if expands, just build a new wall and raise the price. Maybe you can even sell people five dollar rocks to let tourist throw them down to try to hear it hit the bottom. Then you're making money on the crater being filled. Might take a few hundred years, but that's a government job for ya.
