Personally, I think a great deal of these "noobs" are acting arrogant and trying to show off to more experienced players because they don't want to be treated like 'noobs". Honestly, look through this post, and you will get a general sense that to be a "noob" is comparable to being a leper or some sort of rabid wombat with a yeast infection. Would anyone want to be treated like that? And yet, too many of these posts seem to denigrate new players.
Sure, I have been annoyed by a new player on occasion, but in every case, once he/she understood that they didn't need to worry about impressing me, or trying to fit in and be cool or whatever, they settled into having fun and really learning about the sport.
I know not everyone who has posted here thinks of new players in a completely negative way, but personally, I wonder if too many "experienced" players need to be reminded of what it was like to be new to our beloved sport. Most importantly, these new players are the future of our sport, and if we act like jerks to them, they will act like jerks to their generation's new players, and this sport will die a horrible death, throttled by "I'm so much cooler than you, you Noob!" Syndrome. You can see some of the younger players acting this way already.
Oh well, sorry about the rant. I get a little passionate about this stuff, I guess!

I myself work all day Saturday, so I appreciate OSG scheduling their scenario games on Sundays. I have to be up and on my way to work by midnight Sunday evening, but I still try to get up there to play in the scenario games. Yeah, that means I get about three hours of sleep after a scenario game, but its worth it!
