Topics I've Started
07 April 2008 - 01:44 PMHey all,
With help of the search engine I decided to go with Jasco to strip the paint off the A-5 to get it started...however right off the bat I had difficulties. Thanks to Evil Fingers, I.K.E, agentM192, and The Stuntman for the advice on how to get the rest of the paint off and what not. I used a combination of both Desert Wookie's Stickies to paint my gun, however I didn't really want a full digital camo look, I prefer the blotchy camo from the old BDUs over the digital so instead of stenciling it out as digital I went with that blotchy camo. I ended up going with tiger stripes for the grip cause for some reason even tho I sanded the plastic parts the paint peeled off ... the tiger stripe was all I could get to stick.
I do however need more practice (or patience) but all in all I like it for a first time run and it makes me different from all the other guys I play with (There are 10 guys on shift that play and 6 of them have Tippmanns).
So what all do you think?
EDIT: Changed pictures to show trigger guard... I had forgot to put it on and lazy me didn't want to take the hand grip apart to put it back on... didn't realize it was illegal to have it off so I sucked it up and put it back on.
01 April 2008 - 11:54 AMIv read all the topics that pop up when you search for painting you gun and with the advice from those I narrowed it down to using Jasco to strip the paint off.
Here is the problem, I don't know what is up with it. I followed the directions (even covered it with foil) but the paint just doesn't want to come off... It has softened at some points and a wire brush has gotten some of the paint off in patches, not much however, like two quarter sized patches on one half and a long scratch on the other half...
Just wondering for those who have used Jasco to strip paint off of a gun any input on recommendations on what to do?
27 March 2008 - 06:59 AMHey all,
I'm not sure if this has been answered before but the search engine has been disable for me here at work (yeah I can post and surf forum sites, but I can't search the forums, kind of a** backwards no?).
But yeah, I'm just wondering if anyone knows what type of threading a remote Q/D is? I have figured that it is metric cause no standard fitting I have threads correctly but I'm not sure what kind of metric, is it DIN light , DIN heavy , JIS , BSP, BSPP, BSPT , or FRENCH Metric?
Thanks for the help
