28 June 2008 - 01:47 PMWow!
I'm interested as to how you would get the bottom barrel to work with a top sight.
I would definitely follow BAGELS' idea and build a prototype out of foam. And who knows, if it's resilient enough, you might even be able to use it as a mould for possibly fiberglass or some other laminate.
I'll keep an eye on this post... looks promising!
Keep up the good work!
Rock on, woodsballer!
28 June 2008 - 01:33 PMFor the sight rail, OpsGear makes incredible products, but with that incredibility comes an even incredibler (Yes, I know that's not a word) price. :aah:
Here's some links for some less expensive alternatives:

I would also suggest a shroud, if you dig the milsim look...
Hope that helps!
21 April 2008 - 02:49 PMHey there, fellow Dagger!
The Recruit vest was mainly built for those who are still suckling on a pod pack, but would like to try a vest.
From what I've heard/read, It's great as a hybrid, but has a tendency to "slosh" when running and lose pods
along the way. If I do say so myself, I get my Dagger thing on rather fiercly, but I play with a Sabre vest.
It's all about personal preference, though.
Good luck in your vest quest!
