Posts I've Made
17 November 2009 - 12:56 PMI'm currently it the middle of a first strike project.
1. Buy Trracer Pump
2. Buy first strike rounds
3. Mod Tracer feed to accept first strike rounds
4. Take off pump and fashion a bolt action system that hods the bolt back for loading
5. Buy stock
6. Go play
look at this video for the general gist of what i hope to achieve but minus the stock, i am going for the light and functional look...
oh and as for making your own... it realistically will be very very very hard to get consisten enough rounds to make it worthwhile.
22 June 2009 - 05:22 AMMost painful - hands (i wear protection for my danglies )
Weirdest - didn't happen to me - A team mate was wearing a Shemagh/scarf around his neck and about 3 games in a row he got paintballs stuck in it.
11 May 2009 - 10:39 AMInstead of having to cut a hole through the top of your receiver for a conventional hopper in addition to having to shoehorn the regulator into a cosmetic magazine shell, how about inverting the XE body so that it feeds from the magazine location and relocate the regulator into the buttstock, using a slightly longer length of tubing? I'm sure the board could still be located near the trigger group location.
the feedneck would come out at a 45degree angle so it would come out of the ejector port, sorry, i didn't really make it clear.
05 May 2009 - 09:04 AMI will never understand why you would pay extra for a 98C and hack the foregrip off, rather than just spend less and get a BT-4 (A 98C with no fixed foregrip).
maybe its because my mod doesn't require the rail... and the dimensions would be wrong for the BT-4 height wise.
03 May 2009 - 03:20 AMi've updated my plan!
My very rough plan:
Take an old style ION cut off the front part containing the barrel threads, put it inside an M4/16 metal airsoft body with the threads tapped into the receiver (the front part where d-rings/fore-grips screw on.) mount the board somewhere above/around the trigger, put the reg inside the mag and fit the battery wherever i can.
now to give credit where it's due, my inspiration comes from Uhlan's mod found here... http://todd.mainecav...l/m16/progress/
green = reg
orange = board, tubes and banjos etc.
blue = threads cut into body
