Posts I've Made
18 August 2010 - 08:56 PMJust got back home about 2 hours ago. After I made that post, I ended up taking a drive down there. 4.5 hr drive down. Stopped by Michigan State at first and visited a buddy and then went over to the dealership. We ended managing to work something out, so all is good now. By the time I got home (13 hours later) everything was calmed down here. Managed to work out a deal on both ends. When i wrote my rant, it was literally 5 mins after the incident so was still on high tension about it. The 4.5 hour drive down allowed me to quite a bit of deep breathes and put things into perspective and get back a focused state so to speak.
I agree w/ Bill here. From what I've seen it's usually other drivers that are hindering the truck drivers. People making stupid lane changes in front of them, staying in their blind spots when they could either advance or slow down, or just driving slow enough to a point where the trucker then has to pass cars.
Only complaint about semi-trucks is when they go way beyond their posted speed limit. That's when things can get a bit dicey. Give and take is what the highway is all about and unfortunately so many seem to forget that. It's bothersome when I'm having to pass on the right because cars in the left lane are going below the speed limit by far and not moving over.
18 August 2010 - 05:03 AMBacking down my driveway, I hit my sister-in-law's car... I have a step driveway and well no one comes up so the worry is always watching for someone on the cross road. Well she pulled in and I was going down and boom.
I was about to leave to visit the dealership I bought my bike from downstate to work out the final details (it's a 4.5 hr drive).
My mom is pissed, my dad is mad but not pissed. My sister-in-law just feels bad, she's not pissed. My brother, I'm gonna guess is going to be pissed. And since there's damage to the car (my parent's 300), looks like I'm going to have to forfeit my deposit on the bike and pay for this instead. My mom was going to me loan $500 (what my loan for the bike wouldn't cover)... but since the deductible for the car is $500... yeah, I'm short on cash to buy the bike.
So now I'll lose my $500 deposit on the bike (since they won't refund it), piss off a dealership, lose out on a good deal, and deal w/ a pissed off mom who was just screaming at me when it happened, because my sister-in-law had her son (he's almost 1 in the back) to drop him off here for the day.
----------GREAT START to the morning.
15 August 2010 - 09:48 PMWow, sorry to hear that man. Thats no good.
Friend of mine just bailed on going downstate w/ me to pick up my new motorcycle on Saturday. He lives 1.5 hrs south of me and we the dealership is close to 5 hours away from me, and only well 3.5 from him. Plan was for me to get a ride to his place and then we'd take his truck, pick up the bike and drive back to where he lives. Then I'd just ride the rest of the way home.
I was going to pay for all the fuel, food he wanted, and give him like $50 on top of that. I just really don't want to ride the bike back for more than 2 hour ride tops. Not a brand spanking new bike at least, especially since some of the highways on the way back are a bit dicey as is (heavy traffic and not in the greatest shape).
Damn unreliable people.

beauty is but a light switch away....or "hit it from behind". I believe an old high school friend said it best, even if you are hooking up with an ugly chic, just close your eyes, they all look the same then.
alright, ill see what i can do. i'll report back on it soon.
Dude, no. Don't slay the dragon unless you need to. C'mon don't be desperate like that. Acceptable terms when slaying a dragon and taking the hit is to help a buddy out by taking the lesser of two girls. Only time in my book it's acceptable to slay the beast.
Find something better. Looks are deceiving, don't let those hip huggers justify that ass to you. She knows she's lacking in the face. It's a trap lol.
14 August 2010 - 08:37 AMYeah Madagascar is pretty brutal. Every now and then the outbreak will start then but then it seems every country instantly shuts down everything. I've only managed to beat it once and posted a 125k score.
Set it to virus, took all the symptoms off, racked it up to around 120 ish points to use and by then every country was infected and just unloaded on the points into various things.
Octavious hasn't added any friends yet.
