I AM LOOKING to start two monster paintball "armies" to have weekend-long campaigns on private lands. We will organize in the fashion of a real army, with different sized units, officers, branches, etc. Right now, I am hoping to find the backbone of these armies: the officer corps. I need 61 men/women with 30 to be on my side and 30+ 1 commander on the other. It would be cool if we can have the bulk of one team be comprised of "soldiers" from Maryland and another from Pennsylvania. The initial 61 volunteers will be automatically given the rank of 2nd lieutenant. Then organizing, training and recruiting will begin. Each lieutenant is asked to recruit a minimum of 10 soldiers. If he/she recruits between 11 and 15, he/she will be promoted to 1st lieutenant. 16-20 will bring the rank of Captain. Once these levels have been met, the organization will begin. The captain with 20 or more members under him/her will command what we will call a company. 2-3 companies will make a division and 2-3 divisions will make a corps. NOTE: the numbers of troops described here do not correspond to the literal military names for the units they comprise. Please don't bother me with pointing that out. Members who have or have access to a multitude of acres for us to campaign on will automatically be made captains. Recruiting shoudl never stop as not all members will be able to attend all drills and campaigns.

THE WAY this will be played is similar to big game/scenario play, but with rules to make it more like warfare than a game. Standard safety practices will be in play at all times!

I HAD such a group in New Jersey when I lived there and it worked ver well. In fact, I wrote history of one of the campaigns, known as the Cratersburg Campaign. I wish I had printed it out because my computer fried with it still on there. Anyway.... Between the two armies, "the army of Morris" and "The Army of Sussex". there were about 400 members. Most of them were active, meaning they didn't miss a campaign. Of course, we were in our late-teens to mid-twenties then, so, it was easier to take two whole weekends off each month. With how much the internet and its use has exploded since 200-2001, and if we recruit from Maryland and Pennsylvania, we can easily beat 400 members. From this experience, I know this can work and how we would make it work. My "army", the army of Morris, lost only two campaigns out of the two seasons of 2000 and 2001. The league was disbanded after the 2001 summer season. We played on the lands owned by our members/members' families.

ALL AGES from 18 and up are welcome to join, anyone can rise as high as their talents and smarts will take them, pre-existing teams (PETs) may join and remain intact during organization if their membership is at least 10. Contact me for more info or to get started.
**** An inependent movie, based on my experiences with the New Jersey armies will be produced within the next two years. We will need extras. Join me and you will be those extras. I'm producing the movie, so I call the shots on it.
