Topics I've Started

  1. Phantom Vert Feed.

    11 November 2008 - 07:59 PM

Anyone of you guys have any experience with them? Can you get clamping feednecks available? I might get into stock class later, do I have to buy a new body to do this?

Any of you guys also had any experience with the undercocking pump kits? Besides looking better, any real advantage?

    Thanks in advance.
  2. Jeff Orr Pump

Man, those things are hot - I just saw the newest version on the worr website. I can't find a price on them though, anyone got a MSRP? Anyone own one?

    Thanks.
  3. Quietest Pump

    15 October 2008 - 08:20 PM

Just wanted to get your opinions on this.

I'm looking into a Phantom, Sniper, or maybe even getting a Mag and making it winter project and converting it into a pump.

Its not too important, but what is the quietest pump you've played with?
  4. Pump Types

    14 October 2008 - 08:32 PM

I played X Ball until '07, and just started playing again at a local woodsball field this last week with a friends' Sniper. OMG, it was the most fun I've had in paintball in several years, I'm sold on Pumps.

I really enjoyed the Sniper, it shot and felt great. However, I hated the fact that I had to make sure to not hold the pump handle or it would shoot like crap. Do all pumps do this??

I was also looking into Phantoms or Grey Ghosts, but would like to have a center feed, with a small loader and Compressed Air tank. I may get into stock play eventually, but right now I would like to have that kind of set up, can you get a vert feed with Phantoms and or Ghosts?

Also, saw that you can convert mags to pumps, that sounded pretty cool but with the blow forward design is this a decent set up? I'm even looking maybe for a used Buzzard if I can find one at a decent price if anyone has any experience with them.

I'm looking to drop anywhere from $175-$450 - I'm just looking maybe for some testimonals of any of the guns above and any other guns that maybe I don't know of from you guys that have been playing this way for a while.

Thank you guys very much in advance.
  5. Pump Mag

    14 October 2008 - 07:53 PM

I played X Ball until '07, and just started playing again at a local woodsball field this last week with a friends' Sniper. OMG, it was the most fun I've had in paintball in several years, I'm sold on Pumps.

I was always a mag fan when I was a kid, my friend had one. It shot good, was very quiet and never broke down. I liked the Sniper, but I'm done with the competitive scene, I'm looking to play just for fun about 1-2 times a month. That means, no equipment breakdowns, etc. I just want a solid, dependable good performing pump.

I've seen pump conversation kits for Mags, but with mags being a blow forward is this a good gun set up as a pump? Anyone have any experience with it? The one thing I hated about the sniper was having to make sure my hand wasn't on the pump, or it would shoot like crap - did this happen with mag pumps too?

Thank you guys very much in advance.
