  2. 6th Fallschirmjäger - German Airborne

    20 July 2009 - 11:43 AM

    Posted Image

This is the reactionary arm of the German Special Forces, first and foremost an assault unit, capable of responding at a moment's notice to where they are needed most... or prowling the dark boundary forest of the D-Day Field to intercept and deny Allied efforts to maneuver and link up behind German lines.

Your unit is a highly mobile, elite, reactionary assault force, to be deployed at the discretion of the German High Command to counter the movements of the Allies on the field. You will also need to be capable of autonomous action, of knowing when and where your unit must be to strike and counter the Allied advance. The 6th Fallschirmjäger-Regiment must stand ready to respond in force to wherever they are needed most. You must be prepared to fight with a unit that must be fluid, light, swift, and above all else, hard-hitting.

Expect to do battle in virtually every corner of the 700 acre playing field, against any and every unit that attempts to breach passage through German Territory.

The terrain is brutal, the enemy is numerous, the field is massive and your unit will be called upon to counter-attack, ambush, harass, and destroy the enemy wherever the need is greatest.

This is a physically demanding unit, not for the faint of heart.

You must be 15 years of Age at the time of D-Day 2010.

The home of The Valkyries, the only all-female woodsball team.

The Valkyries team members are different ages with experience levels-

The Valkyries Black Squad - For our younger and beginning players. Want to learn the game? We'll teach you in a way you'll understand.

Questions? Concerns? Just ask. We'll be happy to help.
  5. The Women Of D-Day

    03 June 2008 - 07:02 AM

1 - Those female players who are registered for the 2008 game are cordially invited to attend the Women of D-Day Media Event on Friday, June 13th at 0800. This invitation is extended to all Axis and Allied female players. We will meet under the D-Day arch. There we will be photographed and interviewed by the representatives of the differing paintball publications. With training occurring for both sides at 0900, this must occur in an efficient manner - Please arrive on time.

2 - Those women, both Allied and Axis, who are interested in contributing to the Women Of D-Day Paintball Calendar please contact the representative for your 'side'. Banshee for the Allied, myself for the Axis. Please note that there may be more women than months available; each side has 6 months of the year. Be prepared to 'buddy up' for your particular photo shoot. Participants will be required to sign a modeling release/waiver giving all rights of the photos taken to Dewayne Convirs, who will ultimately decide which pictures are used in the calendar. Just because your picture is taken does not guarantee inclusion.

All outfits and props are the responsibility of the model. Please remember that this is a family-friendly paintball calendar. While we are confident that the many vendors present will be happy to lend a prop or two for this event, be prepared to use your own gear.

Photo shoots will occur on Thursday and Friday at differing times taking advantage of the best natural light possible. Exact photo shoot times and locales will be coordinated with the photographers, the Allied or Axis representatives and the models. Thank you for understanding that this is being done on a volunteer basis by the photographers who already have a hectic schedule. When they have the time for us we will be sure to be ready.

Photographers are Gary Baum of PaintballPhotography.com, Rich Struth of PBJunkie.com and Brad Armstrong of WedPics.

We are currently badgering the TRUE women of D-Day to be on this year's cover: Mom, Courtney, Peggy & Kathy. Please let them know how much we really, really want them on the cover!!

I am also going to make the suggestion that the cover for the following year be determined by the winner of the previous year: The 2010 calendar cover will sport the group photo of the side who wins the 2009 game.
