18 August 2011 - 09:33 PMdamn, watched my grandpa die last night. and now I hear about this? just remember everyone, life is short. don't waist a min of it.
16 August 2011 - 10:13 AMuse to play against the current Miss South Carolina (Courtney Turner) and she had was the closes thing to a paintball Jesus.. a paintball would be going strait towards her mask, and as soon as she looked at it, it would do a crazy turn and miss her. I've played against her many times and only seen her get shot once..
+rep to Ivan for making me remember playing against her.
13 August 2011 - 12:00 AMCan someone that considers themselves to be a "sniper" please explain to me what do you think a "paintball sniper" is.
from what I have gathered so far, you use the camo for you advantage.. just like 95% of woodsball players, yes I understand the whole gillie suit thing, but what I am getting at is that in the area I live at is rednecks with Confederate flags flying and a pair of camo overalls is a regular site at my local 7/11(lots hunting goes on in the area). So I'm use to everyone I play with have a understanding on camo and how to use it(accept this one kid that asked me why everyone was wearing camo, long story short.. he went home and borrowed his brothers camos after the first game). I was raised hunting so I dont really understand how someone can be a "Master of Camo". Its basic knowledge around here, but then again I dont know how its like everywere else.
Another thing I have gathered is the Tactics.. one guy in a good position covering a lane/area/trail/flag. Isn't that the tactics used in every type of paintball game scenario/speedball/woodsball. Yes there are a few that are aggressive players that consider themselves "snipers" but aren't snipers suppose to sit and wait for the ideal shot, but then again any player that has shot too early or shot too late and got lit up has learned when its best to make shots.
Accuracy- I have had no experience in the whole first strike so I cant anything about that, but anyone that has played on a budget learns quick about accuracy. A private field I play on regularly plays a 20 paintball limit.. u get 20 shots then you are a basically a moving target to shoot at. (I always stay in to call out locations and attempt barrel tags).
Shooting distances- ummm... longball? another basic I feel that everyone that plays paintball knows.
From what I have read I see no difference between a regular woodsball player and a "sniper" other then a gillie suit. I AM ASKING what do you believe is a "paintball Sniper".
I am not here to flame, I am not here to argue. I am here asking questions. Once again I do not believe there is such thing as a "sniper" in paintball, but I am always open to new ideas.
12 August 2011 - 03:23 PMThe only problem is I don't have a video camera. The only video recording device i have is the built in one on my computer. It would be funny to see a guy running around the woods with an apple computer in one hand and a marker in the other.
Yeah I fully understand that, would be funny to see, but I'm sure that there is a "sniper" out there that has a video camera.
12 August 2011 - 02:58 PMI look at it this way, in Tyger's video he challenged the whole "SNIPER" community to prove to him that there is such thing as a "sniper". 0 video responses so far for pro "sniper". Were is the video responses? Hopefully sometime this weekend we will get some kind of "sniper" video from not just A.C.E.S, but from the whole "sniper" community.
I personally do not believe in the whole "sniper" thing, everything that has been said about stealth, flanking, waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger, Well isn't that's the basis for woodsball? Does that mean that I am a paintball "sniper" or does that mean I'm a woodsball player?
I am opened minded about everything in life. So I am also asking the "sniper" community, try to prove Tyger wrong.
Cant wait to see the video responses. Remember keep circulating those tapes!
