Topics I've Started

  1. Made an Autococker in Incredibots 2!

    19 July 2009 - 07:22 PM

I was bored so I decided to make a paintball marker in this physics game I found.
Basically it allows you to use geometric shapes and different types of joints to make "robots".

I managed to make what's supposed to be an autococker, although some parts are a little wonky.

I figured people that know paintball would appreciate the detail more, things like the moving back block and (attempted) accuracy to the real thing.

Please check it out, and rate if you can.

    Thanks in advance

    EDIT: Link fixed.
  2. Zephyr Paintball has a new forum!

    30 January 2009 - 07:24 PM

Searched for it, couldn't find anyone else talking about it.
Thought it would be most appropriate going in Paintball News.

    Zephyrpaintball.com has a new forum!

  3. Python Compression Kit as a barrel?

    16 January 2009 - 09:41 PM

I figure, if python compression fittings have the same threading on both sides, doesn't that mean you could stack a bunch of them if you wanted to? (Or had the money) You could even theoretically vary the bore inserts, meaning the bore could increase or decrease further away fron the breech, allowing for some sort of gradient, kind of like the elliptically honed PPS barrels.
  4. Chain letter math trick?

    22 December 2008 - 09:46 PM

Got this in an email recently, worked for me, dunno if it'll work for everyone, or why it works at all.

    Quote

    YOUR AGE BY
    EATING OUT
    Don't tell me your age;
    you probably would tell a
    falsehood anyway
    -but your waiter may know!
    YOUR AGE BY DINER &
    RESTAURANT MATH

    This is pretty neat

    DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING
    DOWN FIRST!

It takes less than a minute.
Work this out as you read .

Be sure you don't read the
bottom until you've worked it out!

This is not one of those
waste of time things, it's fun.

    1. First of all, pick the number
of times a week that you would like to

go out to eat. (more than once but less than 10)

    2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

    3. Add 5

    4. Multiply it by 50

    5. If you have already
had your birthday this year add 1758...

    If you haven't, add 1757.

    6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your
original number. (I.e., How many times
you want to go out to
    restaurants in a week.)

    The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE ! ------ (Oh YES, it is !)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2008) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS

DISCLAIMER: I take no responsibility for the contents of that email, it was copied and pasted as you see it.
  5. O-rings?

    29 October 2008 - 03:15 PM

Jsut wondering whatt the likelihood of O-ring failure on a tank is. As well, what would that likelihood be for a 3-way o-ring or stock bolt o-ring (Autococker Trilogy)?

as well, what's the difference between Buna and urethane? will any of them swell with oil?

Should I replace my bolt o-rings? They're cracked and fit loosely, or is it not that urgent?
