Your guys' seasons are starting just now? Our 4th and final season for deer/elk just ended. All there is now is mountain lion.

as of today....Deer season here is done...and I didnt get to shoot! I am sad now.

In my part of NC(and in most parts) Deer season is broken up into several parts, Archery Season, Muzzeloader/archery season, and finally a Season for all legal weapons(rifle, bow, handguns etc). Archery starts in september, Muzzleloader started on November 14th, and then Rifle(and other weapons) opened saturday. We are just getting started down here; season doesn't close 'til december 20th...

Our deer season is set to the maximum since our deer population is higher than need be. We're allowed to harvest 4 anterless and 2 antlered deer.

took a nap under a pine the other day. sadly only been out twice this year, once opening day of bow season and the second, wednesday.

sometimes life doenst want me to shoot bambi

I didn't get into bow hunting. I'm left handed and tried to learn to do it righty; that just won't happen. I may pick up some left-handed gear after the turn of the year and get to work.

I've only seen two deer this week, so yeah, my life doesn't let me shoot bambi too much either.

Been hunting pretty consistently since the start of fire arms season here, unfortunatly the season ends sunday, and I still have yet to get a shot off.

I have seen a bunch of does, and one buck, but all of which where not in a good location to take a shot. The does where following a path along the road...seemed odd, but that would be my luck, since they are about 10 yards off the road, I didnt want to take a shot.

The Buck, I saw at daybreak 2 weeks ago. I had just eaten breakfast and was moving rather slow out the door. I walked out the door on to the deck, about to start walking out to the stand...and here stands about a 8 point buck. Looks at me as if to say ha ha turned and ran away only showing me his tail.

    I was sad...

In my part of NC, Blackpowder season opened on the 14th. I've hunted nearly everyday, both moring and afternoon, and only seen two deer. However, I did bag both of these deer. One of which is the in the picture, the other was much smaller 6 point.

I'm glad to hear from ya'll, it almost seems like I'm the only avid hunter on the forum.
