  1. Rap4 Stock: Does it attach at striker pin or behind bolt?

    10 February 2009 - 07:23 PM

Quick question for anyone out there with a RAP4 stock. I am looking to replace the stock on my EMR-1 because it is positioned behind the bold rather than replacing the striker pin. I am no longer able to field strip it easily.

On Rap4's website It is not 100% clear in the picture as to how their stocks are attaching to the back of the spyders.

In the one just titled "Spyder Carbine Stock" it appears to be behind the striker pin.

However in the "MR1 Carbine Stock" it is substantially less clear.

Just curious if anyone has any experience or owns one and can give me some insight. I presume all the spyder stuff is fairly universal so I don't see why I wouldn't be able to choose one over the other.
  2. SP-1 vs. TM-7

    22 December 2008 - 08:24 PM

Anyone care to weigh in on the SP-1 vs. the TM-7. A search of the forum didn't return anything, which surprises me as I would have thought this would be an obvious comparison.

The SP-1 seems to have some pretty decent reviews overall. I would have thought build wise the TM-7 would trump it, but it seems to have much more mixed reviews from users. With the huge price difference between the two I wonder why that is.

Anyone care to share their thoughts between the two?
  3. Most Compact Marker Under $100? Preferably Under $60?

    25 May 2008 - 08:37 PM

So my family and my girlfriend's family (five brothers) have all thought it would be a great idea to do an annual family paintball outing. Most people have gone before once or twice but they think a once or twice a year outing where we all grill out and such would be fun. Now even everyone's wives are on board even though most of them haven't played before.

Now the husbands (brothers) are all mostly thinking of purchasing markers. Thinking to myself it might be a good idea if the wives can get their own markers as well. we all know how troublesome field rentals can be. So I was thinking that there are plenty of very cheap semi-autos out there online that can be had for as low as $40-50 that would be perfect for the wives. They are brand new, gives them some ownership and so forth.

I am not looking for anything with all that much accuracy or upgradability because really these things will be played upon once a year. A semi-auto mechanical I think is best as well since it is less for them to fool around with. With all that in mind I would like to find something that is as compact as possible.

Something from 32 degrees, VL or Brass Eagle immediately pops to mind. Also perhaps the Spyder Victor? Anyone have some good suggestions I may have missed?
  4. Any High Quality Mechanicals Still Exist?

    20 April 2008 - 08:24 AM

I am always in the market for a nice high quality mechanical. Personally I just am not all that into electronic markers. That being said are there any high quality mechanicals still out there (besides cockers, automags and Palmer Pursuit)?

I am also looking for the non-scenario look.
  5. MR Barrel 6"-10"?

    20 April 2008 - 08:20 AM

I am in the market for a shorter, higher quality barrel for my E-MR1. Anyone have any suggestions for a shorter 6"-10" barrel?
