17 September 2007 - 02:44 PMThe poll is in mph. You guys know that right?
I guess I wasn't really clear on that, sorry!
17 September 2007 - 02:33 PMits not ur barrell that makes the noise (unless u have a speed ball gun) it is the body and the internals that make the noise.
my friend built a gun shroude and packed it with foam and you can hear a thing unless he is right beside you. so my sudgestion is to make a shroude that fits over ur gun out of pvc or abs pipe and make it fit ur gun and pack it with foam. or if u have a shroude try packing it with foam and it should help alot
This is a diagram for a barrel shroud, what happens is the CO2 escapes into the open space (Red) and stays there, most of the noise that comes from a paintball gun is the co2 being released, with this shroud, you cut down the amount of c02 escaping out the end of the barrel significantly, making your shots much quieter. This design works best with barrels that have ports going all the way up the barrel, most only have them on the front half of the barrel.
And since it is a shroud, you won't have any problems with people calling you a cheater because it's a silencer, it's not, it's a shroud that makes your gun quieter!
16 September 2007 - 06:05 PMWhat I do is carry 5-6 10rnd tubes, they are light and again, carrying less paint forces you to take more careful shots, great advice nickanator8!
And no, I don't start with a full hopper, just the 50-60 rounds I am carrying.
