  1. Colt 1903 Pockt Rebuild

    20 December 2009 - 06:05 PM

Alright, winter break is here and time to start the work. Several of you have been asking about it and yes I finally have time to work on it. To fill in the others:
I've been waiting in anticipation for my 21 birthday to purchase a Colt 1903 hammerless pocket automatic for my first pistol and project gun.

History- colt picked up the patent for this pistol from John Browning in the early 1900s and produced their first model in 1903, obviously. The little pocket gun was a huge hit with civilians, mobsters and eventually some light military usage too. Capone always carried one, Bonnie broke Clyde out of jail with one, Dillinger died with one in his pocket. It was a general officers pistol for a little in WW2, Patton had one, and was popular with OSS officers, precursor to the CIA.

The '03 hammerless is the classic carry gun and most modern ones can draw their lineage to it.

So on my Bday I picked one up at the local gun show, how convenient, for an incredible price and condition.

Goal- find a beater, restore it too its former glory and turn it into a modern carry piece that Mr. Browning would be proud of.

No pics of mine right now, sorry. I'll have them up tomorrow.

Anyone else carrying a classic or working on one?
  2. Centeral PA baller search

    19 February 2009 - 11:18 AM

We are going to see if this networking stuff really works.

This is for those players that 'shoot it up' at Wanna Play Paintball in Dillsburg PA.
Check out their new site for details.
I understand they have a 5 man woodsball tournament coming up in April and I'm looking to see who thinks they're going.
I'm going to try to put a team together and try this stuff out, I've never been in a tournament before and I think I have four willing comrades.

Who's going, do you have a team, what do think the fields will be, do you think it'll be worth it? We might even get some recruitment going.

I admit this event is a long way off, but with the crew I play with, sooner is always better. I'll be looking at WannaPlay's threads too. Hope to see you there.
I'll breath new life into this thread as the day grows closer.

So, I have two willing bodies so far and hope to have two more, but who knows. My guess of field will either be Hoochie Man or Sticks. What do you guys know?
  3. Paintball on Discovery Channel

    10 February 2009 - 08:25 PM

Anybody see this at 10. It was pretty good. The Discovery Channel took its Wreckreation Nation show to the world of scenario paintball.
The BBC went to Florida for a scenario game and put their host in the middle of it. finally woodsball gets some TV time.

The game, "The Search for Bigfoot". The objectives collect evidence of bigfoot; collect bigfoot foot prince, find bigfoot droppings, locks of hair, pictures and finally to kill and bring in the beast. The host's yellow team got smoked by the red team.

The host sucked, but he was using a BT TM7. The first time I've seen one in action.

Whats your reactions, you think they made the sport look good?

If you didn't see it, look for it on the tube
