16 December 2007 - 04:05 PMmy problem with red dot sights is the size of the red dot. I found a scope with 5" eye relief and adjustable magnification from 1.5x-4.5x. I think this should be good, because at 1.5, it isn't too close, but close enough to tell me if I'll hit a tree instead. Any thoughts?
08 October 2007 - 08:13 PMSo lets combine ALL of them. btw, I know that all you need is 8-inches (I CAN'T HEAR YOU! LALALALA!, perverts), but on certain guns or for certain looks, you may want a longer one even if only for aesthetic purposes. I for one have seen the effectiveness of a beastly looking gun in psych warfare. So you can have the rifled/bulging/aluminum insert for 8 inches, but have the rest of the barrel continue...thats just my opinion though.
23 September 2007 - 05:49 PMThe problem is that, unlike a real gun and magazine, you can't decide when the tracer is shot, so you might have uneven distribution, taking away some of the efficiency.
I saw something that illuminates the paintballs as they leave the barrel and gives them an ambient glow for a while, but I can't be sure that i didn't dream it.
20 September 2007 - 06:13 PMOr you could all just buy a bomber plane and drop real bombs full of paint.
18 September 2007 - 03:40 PMIt can easily be done with a simpe modification of a 98c design (all i had to work with for design).
All you do is seal the front bolt so it isn't hollow, replace the paint with 6mms, and replace the detent with a circular piece of rubber that is cut in an asterisk pattern, and have the bolt push past it so it doesn't slow the paintballs.
I'll have to test it but it sounds solid. What might be a problem is the loading. It might seriously lower firing rate. Then again, aiming at certain ranges will be a thing of the past.
I'll post my results once i complete the test
