I got to put my thinking cap on. Been awhile for me.

WAS had two styles. New and old. Both had an LED. New style uses a magnet under the noid.

Yea, these are both was equalizers and one has a magnet and doesnt, but they both wont go into 98 mode. I know i had one of them in it when i first got it, becuase it was a pain in my butt to get it back to a-5 mode, but now that i want it back to 98, i cant get it to go.

So you want to switch it to 98 mode. Pull the trigger while turning it on. Or take the trigger out while turning it on. It'll go into 98 mode if nothing is pressing the trigger switch when turned on.

edit: which board is this? the WAs board I hope.

I dont think that works, doing that will only get it into programing mode. And i think it is the WAS equalizer board, but im not sure, I can check real fast

Are you doing this with the grip on or off the marker? You need the trigger mech installed.

The grip with be on the marker, the switch was cut off the board, and i soldered it with foot long wires back to the board. It is working just fine, but i need the polarity changed from a-5 mode to 98 mode. It is on a a-5, but i still need this changed.

i dont know what you mean by trigger mech, but i have also tryed to do this on my standared ( unfuxored with ) a-5 egrip, and my 98 e-trigger.

    Pull and hold the trigger
Hold power button until it turns from orange to red. Press the power button once. Shutoff board. Release trigger and turn on. A lot of people don't realize if the polarity has changed they need to hold the trigger before starting up so they don't enter programming mode.

If it doesn't work then your only choice is to manually change the polarity by removing the outer most wire on the switch and solder it to the opposite pin.

I have tryed the trigger method, and every variation i can think of, and it wont work. I just cut the outermost wires ( 2 of 3 on the switch ) and switched them, for some reason, there is no effect whatsoever. Im debating on switching one of the outer wires with the middle wire.

BTW, im using this egrip for a project, so the switch is wired about a foot away from the e-grip, so i have lots of wire to cut.

I just checked that holding the trigger method on my older '98 e-trigger, and it did not change the polarity. I am not sure what am i doing wrong, or what? anyway, Can anyone find a wire diagram for the e-grip that tells me what the 3 wires going to the switch DO? that would be helpful, then i can splice them correctly.

Anyone want to explain what this means?

Kinda rude; if you dont know, why comment, and if you do know, why not just tell me? i seached the forums for an answer, but didnt see one off hand.
