TNP likes Mountain Dew almost more than coffee.
07 February 2010 - 10:42 AMJust another case of law makers wasting time on stupid technicality rather than actually solve problems.
Yes, it seems off because it is.
Moving away to an ideal world...
I don't smoke, nor do I like being around cigarette smoke, but am 100% for private establishments being able to decide what their policy should be. If you don't like that they allow smoking, don't work there/frequent there.
The government shouldn't be saying "no smoking here" on privately owned property.
I don't smoke either. But, I am intelligent enough not to go to places that allow smoking if I don't want to smell tobacco smoke. Unfortunately, there are people who would try to make us believe that they are not smart enough to know how to avoid second hand smoke on their own. If there is a business that allows smoking, and I don't like that, I can go to a competitor that doesn't allow smoking. If enough people avoid the smoking establishment, they may change the rules themselves. That is the way it is supposed to work in a capitalist society. Sorry, i forgot; neither Canada nor the United States is a free market country anymore.
Simply collect all the butts from outside the store & mail them directly to the health inspector for safe disposal.
Then when they open the package, they will have cig butts inside their office. By their own logic, they must then impose a hefty fine on themselves. After all, if it doesnt matter how they got there....
I love this idea. I almost wish I lived in Canada, just so I could do this.
In Wisconsin, the Department of Natural Resources denies that there are cougars in the area where I live. I've always wanted to somehow get a cougar and let it loose in their office, thus proving that cougars are indeed in Wisconsin. They would also probably change that law about not shooting cougars...
06 February 2010 - 02:12 PMWith Peyton Manning, there's no way the Saints will win. That guy is too smart for his team to lose. Go Colts!
