07 October 2007 - 10:10 PMOkay guys, I just want to share with you what happened to me this past weekend. Let me know your thoughts.
During a game, I was able to slow crawl around the boundary of the field and get deep into the other team's territory without being detected. I was so far into their side of the field that I was able come up behind a player on the opposite team (hiding behind a bunker), and set up a perfect shooting position. I took my time...waiting until he was looking away to take my shot at him from about 50 ft out. I took a single shot and got him on the right side waist. He looked confused, saw the break on his waist and looked around for a few seconds before tucking back into the bunker. I was positive that he was out, but I didn't want to call a paint check on him and give away my position. So I took another shot at him and got him again on the shoulder. He reacted the same way again and tucked back in even more. So out of frustration, I decided to unload on him. Once he figured out that I was shooting at him, the took cover and returned fire. In addition, he called out to his team for support -- pointing out where I was hiding. In the end, with 3 guys hammering at me with paintballs, I was shot on my hopper. As I walked off the field, I saw the guy that I shot twice. So I talked with him (nicely) and let him know that I had 2 clear shots on him. He told me in response that he thought he was shot by his own teammates since the shots came from behind him. I then informed him that even friendly fire counts as a hit, but he just shrugged it off. Although I am satisified in knowing that I had 2 good shots on him, because he did not call himself out, it kept me from sneaking up on more of his teammates. Should I do something different next time without giving away my position?
