Hey guys, I was wondering if the Ion Longbow or the Q-loader kit would fit the Smart Parts Epiphany since the Epiphany and the Ion are closely related. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a blackcell body on my Epiphany marker. There is some slight modification that is needed, but nothing a file or dremel won't handle.

The back cap just needs to be shaved a little to match the shape of the grip frame, 5-10 minutes tops.

And before anyone comments, I will be stripping the anno off the frame and changing it to (maybe?) OD Green. Still undecided on the grips and such.

Wow man, that looks real nice. I'm thinking about getting one but i'm not real comfortable with filing off stuff on my gun just cause i might mess something up. But thanks for the info and pics. Is it any more quiet than the stock epiphany? And can you tell if it has gotten any more accurate?

This question causes me a little concern.
(I don't know if you are asking about the Blackcell body, or the barrel - plus any readers may not be able to interpret the question)

This thread is about the Blackcell body, and this does nothing to affect the function of the marker. It gives a different look and enables attachment of the Longbow.

It will be no louder or quieter as and noise is at the porting and exit of the barrel.
(But there could be a minute difference in the 'internals' noise which becomes insulated or amplified by a different body)

It will be no more or less accurate as the workings and barrel are the same.

However - are your questions in reference to Worrhammers barrel? As he looks to have either fitted an APEX barrel, or a barrel with a silencer / dummy silencer, plus he has camo taped it, (camo tape or camo wrap)
The barrel can be replaced without the Blackcell body

Worrhammers brigade page states that he has an Apex, but does not say if thta is what he has on his Epiphany

Oh I'm sorry...I thought that the barrel came with the body kit...lol i dont know what i was thinking. But yeah, I meant does the Longbow kit fit on the epiphany and apparently it does with some modification. Thanks for all your help guys.

So i'm guessing that a lot of you guys have used a tac cap before? I'm very interested in buying one but i just don't kow how sturdy they are or if there's any problems with them. Anyone got any feed back? I rarely use more than 70 rounds in an entire day of play so the limited paint issue doesn't really bother me. I figure if a longbow mag uses 21 rounds then 25 rounds won't hurt :D

Yeah man if your only using like 70 rounds a day then you would love the tac cap. It is very low profile and takes alot of weight off the gun. I would definatly recommend the tac cap for you. And they are only like 10 bucks and totally worth it.

Get the X-7 Low profile hopper if you want to have alot of paintballs and get the Tac-cap if you really want to keep a low profile. I have the Tac-cap and i love it. Takes a ton of weight off the gun.
  5. In Topic: Ghillie choices for me

    06 February 2009 - 10:53 AM

I voted for the BDU pants/shirt backside. The reason why is that I bought a ghillie suit from ghilliesuits.com and it was the stalker suit. It was basically a big poncho. I played with that for a while and I decided that I really didnt like it to much because it would snag limbs and thorns and whatnot. I would also have to readjust it when I laid down to make sure my legs were being covered.

So I modified my suit. I cut the bottom half of my poncho and super glued it to some bdu pants. (yeah i glued it cause i was too lazy to sew it on. :( So now I have the bottom half of the ghillie glued to some bdus and I got to tell you, I like them a whole lot better. I hardly snag on things and it just feels alot better. And I dont have to worry about my legs not being concealed. I did not glue the top part of the suit to a bdu jacket because i want to be able to put my vest on and stuff...so i just left the top part as a poncho. But just some advice, I would definitely get the bdu pants/jacket set over the poncho any day. I dont have any experience with the action ghillie so I cant say anything about that but I'm sure it works.
