Posts I've Made
03 December 2009 - 02:16 PMBeen a while and I've made some progress.
This is the tray that holds the modified ReloaderB. The Feedneck was cut and reangled slightly upwards. Aquarium stores, as it turns out, are the best place to find feed tubing. Two feet of 3/4 tube cost about $5CDN. The white adapter was created with Epoxy putty and is removable.
Here is the Ammo box itself. Made of GE lexan that I purchased as off cuts from the local plastic supplier. While there I found these $2 hinges, so viola! A Hinged Ammo Box. Green foam is shown on the inside of the lid and on the floor of the hopper. Pieces have been cut and will be applied to the walls later to act as sound insulation..... why I don't know, the gun is going to be loud enough.
And here is the feed tray connected to the hopper and the whole thing where it will attach to the gun. More photos as the project progresses.
09 November 2009 - 05:44 AMYou're handling it properly. I'm an Admin on a Battlefield 2 server and I see that sort of behaviour on a regular basis. Our rules are Warn, Kick and then Ban. Often enough, after a ban, the perpetrator show up on our forums demanding to know why they were banned. It would be funny if it was so pathetic.
I find that using an analogy usually works best. Tell them its your party, these are your rules, and if they decide to insult the host, by not abiding by your rules, then they can leave and have a party of their own with their own guest at their house.
Or, as I tell folks on BF2 when they get antsy, "Look, you just came into my living room, defecated on my rug, and now have a nerve to tell me to clean it up. BAN!"
16 October 2009 - 10:16 AMThanks guys,
Yes, still have to paint the inside of the grip. Just got a quick dusting of black on it last night.
Ger, Yes, the stock does look a little weird and I'm contemplating adding some brass fittings to allow the air connection to be extended down and perhaps out at 90 degree, that way I could extent the bottom all the way to the back of the stock.
20 April 2009 - 06:39 PMWelcome back.
1) Buy Knee pads.
2) Back pills are handy after games.
21 February 2009 - 07:40 AMLike I said in my blog posting, I believe we are going to see a blend of old and new. While I will be purchasing a FS system in the future, I'm going to ensure that someone on my squad is going to carry a conventional marker to get us out of trouble when needed. They both have their place on the gaming field. Snipers will not magically appear, but markmanship and sharpshooters will reemerge, which is a far sight better than having a flood of M60 gunners as we do now.
I'm having a sense of Deja vu reading these posts. Similar debate has happened every time a new technology has been introduced. Constant Air, gravity feed, high capacity hoppers (And I'm taking 40 rounds here) and the introduction of the SMG-60 caused similar gnashing of teeth. All arrived and left their.... mark.... on the game.
