15 August 2008 - 11:25 AMfor me, i have used an A5, 98c and an Ion. The 98c is a durable gun, it has taken a heavy beating and still functions no problem.
the A5 is a little more tempermental, it will take a beating only so far. i dropped my a5 several times and fell on it once. after minor repairs, it works better than ever.
the ion is by far my favorite of the three. it is light, accurate and reliable. It is also reasonable durable, I took a spill at MMG 08 and it still worked flawlessly.
I would get the ion for woodsball. I packs a decent amount of firepower and is really lightweight even with a hopper and tank. It has a little bit more kick to it than the a5 and 98c, but it is hardly noticeable after you play awhile.

21 May 2008 - 05:26 PMhey dude,
i own a proto switch mask, and I love it. in all types of weather it has yet to fog up. get some thermal lenses to along with it. theyre so easy to change out and overall its really inexpensive.
for about $35.
13 December 2007 - 08:13 PMok so i understand that the ion is really easy to disassemble once you know. now would it be better to go with a regular ion, the ion pro if i can find them, or the xe.
i believe that the ion upgrades work for the xe, however if i am not correct please let me know.
13 December 2007 - 12:01 PMa complete rip down of the Ion isnt that hard but its annoying, unscrewing all the banjo fittings and such, takes me 20 min which could have taken me like 2 if i had a bolt out back body
although you could buy the ion for its current sale price which is very cheep since they are just dropping stock, and then spend some extra money on a good BOB body, it will prob come out a little more expensive then just buying the Ion XE to begin with but it will prob be a better looking and nicer body
also when you get it buy a qlock, the stock feedneck is terrible
I appreciate it, thanks
