02 October 2008 - 08:52 PMHey SamSquanch,
ActionVillage has got a whole bunch of Flex parts. Not sure if they'll have what you're looking for, but it's worth a look in any case.
Hope this helps!
11 August 2008 - 10:27 AMAs brought up many times in this thread, always remember to try before you buy. But also remember that comfort isn't everything. You must also consider factors such as fog resistance, protection, and field of vision. I went with the JT Proflex, and it proved to be the greatest mask I have ever worn. With JT's incredible fog-resistant thermal lens, and being advertised as the "most comfortable mask in the world", the JT Proflex is definately a mask you will want to check out.
There's also the V-Force Profiler. On my head, they felt about the same as the Proflex, but they had a bigger lens, offering a larger field of vision. Out of the box, it will have similar fog resistance to that of the Proflex, but unfortunately, it's a single-pane lens with a heavy anti-fog coating that will eventually wear off.
13 July 2008 - 12:55 PMHey JamesX3000, welcome to the forums!
I'm quite familiar with both the A-5 and the US-5, and I can see a huge performance difference between the two. The US-5 is alright, but from my experience, it's much lower end than the A-5. The quality of the US-5 is acceptable, but for the price, there are better alternatives. For about $150, you can get a Smart Parts SP-1, which is impressive in both quality and appearance, while being considerably cheaper. I find that it's a fantastic marker to start off with.
Also, keep in mind that while the marker is very important to the game, the mask is equally - if not more - important. It's a great idea to invest in a good mask; I would check out the Mask board, there is some great information about masks there.
On the topic of red dot sights, I find that red dot's can be an excellent upgrade, as long as you don't spend too much money on one.
Hope this helps;
04 June 2008 - 08:14 PMit seems that in this forum/subforum everyone is either a) giving one time use position ideas like tank buster or complaining about the people that are coming up with the one time use position ideas like tank buster. now this could have been suggested before and I didn't see it, but instead of creating a bunch of semi-useless positions, why not group them into one and name it the "Specialist" position. the Specialist position does a number of things, from being a medic, to "bustin" tanks, to demolition, to whatever the game requires that the normal positions don't already do. if i get enough positive feedback i'll write up some info and rank requirements and whatnot and hopefully spec ops will approve
I really like this idea! I've never really liked the concept of paintball "positions", but the Specialist position seems like it would make the most sense; in fact, I think it would make a lot more sense than most of the other positions.
27 May 2008 - 10:48 AMHey;
Let me know what you think of this.
(By the way, it's in .PNG format, so it should keep the transparency.)
