Topics I've Started
11 August 2008 - 08:26 AMComic book/video game movies? I mean there's Hancock, The Dark Knight, Watchmen(I think that's one), Iron Man, Wolverine, Hitman, Wanted, etc.
Most of them have been/look to be good movies, but is it just me or is it kind of odd?
08 August 2008 - 04:36 PMwhen is it? It was supposed to be today, right? I looked youtube/google and all I could find was anti-chinese tibetan propaganda, I tried wikipedia but it did not say when it was broadcast, just who was broadcasting. I also did a search on this forum and hit like a 1000 things for china, olympics, etc. none were helpful though.
You know what nevermind, I just found out it was broadcast at like 3am or so if I did the math right.
14 July 2008 - 11:53 PMIs it safe to wear contact lenses while paintballing? It came to me after we left the optometrist's, so I couldn't ask them. I figured no, but felt I should ask some other paintballers who may know.
Oh and anyone else wear them?
04 March 2008 - 07:12 PMI believe this is called irony. discuss.
QuoteThis is awkward, during the testing phase for the Shark Shield, an electronic device that is designed to go on the back of surfboards to keep sharks away, one of the devices was actually eaten by a shark.
Yeah, not only did this thing not keep sharks away, but it actually attracted the attention of a 12-foot great white enough that it mistook it for a tasty snack. Luckily, it was on a buoy and not a surfboard at the time.
The device uses electrical waves to give sharks some uncomfortable muscle contractions, at least in theory. The problem is, there's speculation afoot that the electrical waves designed to repel sharks actually attract them. Yeah, that's no good. The manufacturer claims that it'll work just fine as long as you aren't surfing, paddling, or moving at all, however. Uh, sold?
28 February 2008 - 02:27 PMHigh School Assistant Principal Arrested For Murder
Posted: Feb 28, 2008 11:01 AM
Bedford County police have arrested High School's assistant principal for the murder of his wife.
Wesley Earnest has been the assistant principle at High School for two and a half years.
On December 20th, police found the body of 38-year-old Jocelyn Earnest in her home after a cowoker went to check on her when she didn't report to work.
Earnest is being held at a jail in Bedford County.
Dang, they made an announcement about it in the morning when no one had been talking about it, but after that announcement rumors went out like wildfire.
