OK, Mac's are great little pieces of video and music editing. Window's machines are great peices of machinery for gaming, spread sheets dodgy.gif , and office work. Linux is for the computer nerds sitting in the corner cowering in fear from the tyrant that is crApple and MicroSuck.

Ok to be fair I hate all technology (but love it at the same time??) so I despise Macs, and I really hate PCs and linux scares me. But I would prefer linux for one reason. It is free. I hate having to pay out the nose for some piece of software that I know is not going to work right even if they patch everything up. It more or less comes down to one fact. I hate big corperations. I hate MicroSuck because they hold the monopoly, and are well known for having crashtastic software. I hate crApple because as a company (just looking at their adds for iPod ect.) they just seem protentious. Like drinks a fuppr-frappin- double latte extra choco with a cherry on top- chino for breakfast. Linux is the only one that I cannot really look on with a bad light becuase its free.

if microsoft has competition from apple (and linux kinda) then how is it a monopoly? Just because more computers have windows on them does not make microsoft a monopoly.

For some reason macs have a cult fallowing that thinks itself higher than the average computer user. I have every mac user show me there cool stuff like i tunes and their neat screen saver. Most mac stuff i cant find a use for and it wayyy over priced.
I work at a call center for it at a university and macs have their own set of problems. Like safari, it does not work with any sungard systems that the campus uses. it wont even work with the mac formated parts. They must use firefox. Or when they say there is no viruses for a mac, sooo untrue, there are viruses. Just not as many, because most of the world is windows based. Why write a virus that affects a small percentage.

I get calls all the time on why the itunes wont let them do certain functions. I can do the functions on my media center. The funny thing is is that everyone believes macs are soo great for video and music editing like tippmans are to paintball god markers. I use windows and can get a lot of the same results.

Now windows based computers have their problems too. Internet explorer 7 vista version had issues with our log in system. But to fix it , we only needed to check some boxes in internet options. Xp is great now that its older and has been patched. Vista will reach the same status later too. Vista seems to have every driver known to man except for the one i need.

A few of my own quips, macs need a scroll wheel and a left click. Why must i exit the window and then exit the program. And if macs are compatible with everything why must it be able to dual boot, also i love the irony in that most people run MS Office on their macs.

For windows, why must i hit the start button to shut off the computer, If im in administrator mode, why must i then run internet explorer in admin mode as well. And one more thing quite calling windows based computers pc's. All computers are pc's. Macs are pc's windows based comps are pc's. PC=personal Computer!!!!

i use firefox because its free and more responsive (at least the firefox 3 beta is). i'm sure some of you have heard the term 'internet exploder'. i agree.

you can hit the power button and it will shut down (press and release, dont hold it). it will do the same thing that shutting down from the start button will do. you can even set it to ask u if you want to shut down once you press the power button.

also, just because its hilarious, has anyone read the EULA for itunes? here's a little excerpt:

"You also agree that you will not use these products for...the development, design, manufacture or production of missiles, or nuclear, chemical or biological weapons"

makes you wonder a little bit...

PC definately wins in price. i built my own PC and i dual-boot linux (fedora 8) and Windows XP. Apple over-charges on everything they sell. i think they should just stick to their ipods.

i really don't like the idea of the all-in-one computer (computer inside the monitor) because it just seems illogical to me. what if something happens to the screen?

now that i have bashed on apple a bit...i think macs are better at certain things such as art/music related stuff. we just had a new music room added to our school and we have 20 new macs in the room.

also, with a PC you can run linux...everyone thinks that having a PC always means that you have Windows...correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't Mac OS based off unix? so its similar to linux except for user-friendlyness and price...there are other differences, but i would rather just use linux for free.

BTW, Windows Vista sucks IMO. XP all the way.

    i will add more later...

my prom is also Saturday...i can't wait  the theme is 'Midnight in Paris' which if you ask me is a bit stupid...

for some reason i love going to dances, although I've never dressed up for a dance before, so this should be interesting. I'm not even good at dancing...

i'm a geek at my school and thats the group i'm going with. we have 11 people right now...

I'll definitely post pics when its all over
