Wait, that gives me an idea. Instead of having the 12 grams around my wrist what if I put them on the outside of my headband? That might just work.

It is one of those ideas that sounds good when you think about it, but will not really work in the real world. Most Masks ride over the band of a sweat band or ban-du type head wear. :)

I am trying to decide on some different colors for my next Ban-Du's. I love the tails you gave mine, and i get compliments about them at most fields i go to. Now to decide my next color choice... So hard. SO HARD. :(

I don't use any but those two you made me anymore. Even my original 2 ban-dus don't get used. I LOVE the tails. And have only slipped on them once, last time i played, trying to stand up and snap shoot in a speedball game, i got about halfway up and couldn't stand any higher, couldn't figure out why for a second. Standing on the tail.

Well I am glad you like them. Your band was indeed a bit on the drastic side. :P

Ah, cool. And, for what it's worth, I know there'd be a huge demand for your wood grips if you can get the facilities back up for them, especially because Palmers has finally run out of PMI rubbers and is shipping with the aluminum panels.

Also, now that you've got your soft stuff is going steady again, would this be a good time to order that CADPAT bandu I asked about a few months ago?

I have put grips on countless Palmers' markers, so I am sure you are right. :(

As for CADPAT, I don't have any CADPAT fabric in stock that is suitable for Ban-dus right now. I could look for some though.
  4. In Topic: Which Are These?

I just came across this thread. There is some misinformation on it that I think should be corrected.

The head covering in the picture (in the first post) is not a Ban-du. And Moati can not custom make you a Ban-du. If it was ever said he could (by himself or anyone else) this is not accurate. SO makes some products which are similar to a Ban-du but there are some distinct differences between them and an authentic Ban-du (I am sure they are of fine quality and do the job they are intended to do, but they are not Ban-dus). The first of which is that Blackleaf Outfitters is the only business that makes Ban-dus.

There are products on the market which look similar to the Ban-du, but those who own a genuine Ban-du know the difference. I would also ask that if anyone sees the term "Ban-du" used to sell or promote a head covering NOT made and sold by Blackleaf Outfitters that they let me know by shooting me off an e-mail at info@blackleafoutfitters.com .

    Thanks!

(At the time of this post, my Avatar shows me wearing a Ban-du.)
  5. In Topic: What do you wear under your mask?

    03 September 2008 - 06:51 AM

I wear a Blackleaf Outfitters Ban-du. Why? Because they collect and then wick the moisture away keeping me cool on hot days, but also keep my head warn on the cooler days. They also provide great neck protection (both side and back) from hits, the SUN, and of course BUGS. They also allow my head to match the rest of my gear (I am going Multicam right now).

.... oh, and the fact that I make them does not hurt either.
