i just got a tpx a few days ago and knew that it was A-5 threaded so i tried to put some of my A-5 barrels on it.
i soon realized that many barrels are just too thick to fit and some others such as the special ops/ stiffi carbon fiber barrels have somewhat of a hilt on the base of the barrel which makes it to thick to fit into the tpx. an opsgear operator barrel seemed like a sure fit because it is one straight piece of 'pipe' so to say but i found out that this barrel was also too thick. obviously barrel kits are rather thick due to the whole insert thing so my freak kit did not work and i dont imagine any other one will.

the only barrel i had that could fit my tpx was the stock 9'' barrel that comes with the A-5, so i would not buy any barrel until companies and web sites start to specifically label their barrels as tpx compatible.

the e-mail you got concerning these barrels had to be from a website which you have signed up to be on their mail list or have ordered equipment from in the past so if you really want to find those same barrels you should just go to every website you can remember ordering paintball equipment from in the past or you have a registered account on and check if they have that type of barrel

thanks c boogy, I ended buying another pistol this past fri. And bought the rifled barrels from hammerhead ($59) for both pistols I have now. I was expecting it to sound like the other barrels on the a-5 and 98 we own. You know, the 'whoosh' sound it makes 'hammerhead' makes as the ball wizzes by you, ha! I shot with the original barrel before and it shot very accurate, and honestly, the new hammerhead didn't improve the accuracy any. Pistol's are awesome as is!
We (my son and I) played this afternoon, it was really fun, and it saved us $ with the extremely low use of balls and air. ha! We used just the pistols only, we also got the holsters for them... so yeah we pretended the whole mil-sim thing Ha!
But anyway, I still couldn't find the site with the barrels, I did do the whole breadcrumb thing and backtrack all my sites. so... hmmm... And thanks for the idea. And if anyone have any questions about them, I've taken them apart and cleaned from a ballbreak, and other stuff. I'll try and help you out.

Thanks Fellers!! the viewloader hopper didn't take very long cuz the camo wasn't too hard to do. But the digital camo was a tuffy... Ha! I was able to do another style with 'ghost gray' and digital camo on the whole gun. it turnned out eh... thanks for the comment though!

Holy crap that was awesome!!! I'm gonna research that 'how to' forum next! And thanks Blitzen, for the pics and the info. I did a 1st time camo job with an old viewloader i did a while back and posted it. But seeing this!!! :) Good job for saving the pic! :)
  5. In Topic: longbow for a5

that one by the coroner was awesome! again thanks for all the input. I was mistaken about the gun, it turned out that my son wanted the longbow for his Ion. ...Ooops! ha! But just because I was told it would difficult to be done, I really want to try it now! ha! I was wandering around the q loader site and they have an adapter that mounts to the a-5 body. I'm thinking we could use that and somehow mod the feed tube to that.
